License tagging for Image:Academyofscienceandtechnologylogo.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Academyofscienceandtechnologylogo.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:06, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

That was my intention, that wasn't a test, and I have plenty of valid reasons stated at length on the Talk page. A.J.A. 22:30, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your warning. Actually, I always use the preview button, It's just that I haven't realized that I can vote for all nominations at once (here). I apologize. Defy 20:31, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect Page

[edit]

I just wanted the useless redir to be deleted because it's unused and its title is longer than the page it redirects to. So nobody would ever use this cryptic redirect. So, if you're an admin please delte it or otherwise put the delete template in again. -- 87.169.122.228 22:58, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're quick! No problem...I realized why the 'citation is needed' for that sentence. Just overall, it seems like it would be easy enough for those who add 'citation is needed' to find the citation themselves, but they would rather chop up an entry with multiple 'citations needed' than do so.

Erm.... I wasn't vandalising the article - I was updating the content and removing statements which have been removed before inline with NPOV. 81.151.234.173 00:18, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I'm sorry to bother you, but as a Wikiproject Grammar member, I just wondered if you would be willing to have a look through the Sheerness article. It is currently a Featured Article Candidate and needs a copy-edit for grammar by someone who hasn't yet seen it. Any other ways to improve the article would also be welcome. Thank you very much, if you can. Epbr123 23:40, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for adding the image, but we can't use images without either a clear license to use them or a clear rationale for why an unfree image is necessary. We just can't use images with unclear copyright status, especially when the person is still alive and around to take a free picture of. Best option would be ask the family to release a photo, or maybe visit her next birthday party and take a picture. Night Gyr (talk/Oy) 23:41, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Academyofscienceandtechnologylogo.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Academyofscienceandtechnologylogo.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 05:46, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the second time I'm reverting your addition, being completely unsourced. Next time add a reliable source else stop. Consider this as a a warning. — Legolas (talk2me) 14:50, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Fjvglnvjkjhkj hkhgukbgjkb aghtfbphv, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)
