Jeevodaya is a hospice unit for advanced cancer patients who are beyond active treatments. They are a non-profit, non- religious & non-political organization serving society for the last 24 years and have helped more than 5513 lives to attain a peaceful and dignified death. The hospice is run under the guidance of Jeevodaya Public Charitable Trust, The chief promoter of the hospice is the Franciscan Clarist Congregation of Alvernia Province Chalakudy-Kerala. The hospice is the second one to be started in India and the first of its kind in South India. It is situated in Mathur a suburban village at the out skirts of Chennai , the capital city of Tamil Nadu.All services in Jeevodaya are rendered free of cost
