By the way of simulacra, have you read Philip K. Dick's We Can Build You ? Hoverfish 18:58, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have not seen this or read it, though I loved Blade Runner. By the way, Norina Matchabelli was in a German silent film series called Homumculus (1916). I believe it had about 6 parts and she was in section 1 and 4. The story of Homunculus was along very similar lines as this story, creating an android that has human-like characteristics, though with less heart than in the Dick story. Have you heard of these? They don't exist in America. I had an opportunity to buy a VHS of Homunculs 4 on eBay once but got outbid at the last second. I was wondering if you can find it in Austria on VHS? If so I would be willing to buy a copy. Actually the way I came up with the word simulacra was looking for a synonym for "portait" but was amazed at the definition. And now from this article about "We Can Build You" I know even more about this marvelous new word. Chris 19:55, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
