Your recent edits[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that you have made a number of comments adding Shepard Humphries to a number of articles, including Central Wyoming College, University of Wyoming, and Republican Liberty Caucus‎. Based on your user name, I am assuming that Shepard Humphries is either you or somebody close to you. I feel this is a good opportunity to let you know about the Wikipedia conflict of interest policy. We welcome all of your contributions, but you do need to exercise some care when editing articles that are close to you. Most importantly your edits these articles should be accompanied by good reliable sources. For lists such as those in the University of Wyoming and Central Wyoming College articles, the general policy is to limit those lists to individuals that meet the notability guidelines. I have removed the name from the two articles, but without prejudice for adding it again if the notability guidelines can be fulfilled. If you believe that Shepard Humphries meets the notability guidelines, then there is nothing prohibiting you from creating the article, keeping in mind the COI guidelines and adding lots of reliable sources. Thank you, and good luck. CosmicPenguin (Talk) 17:40, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Lawrence Solomon, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.urban-renaissance.org/urbanren/print.cfm?ContentID=547. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. No Original Research[edit]

Hi - I removed your addition to the Executive Protection article. Please read Wikipedia's guidelines on Verifiability and on No Original Research - it would be appropriate to include some of the information you wrote if an outside source could be cited. A tag has been placed on Decatur Maritime Security requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
