Stem cell debate

[edit]

Thanks for you comment left on my talk page. I note that your tone is fairly aggressive - I'd encourage you to Wikipedia:Assume good faith.

If you read my comments left on the stem cell controversy talk page, I think you might understand about why I reverted the stem cell page and the stem cell controversy changes by Runningamok.

I don't think the existing page was fundamentally wrong, hence my revert. The page already says: "Embryonic stem cell research is particularly controversial because..."

I don't disagree with your point on a scientific basis; my objection is largely semantic. While I agree in principle with your argument, in a social and ethical context, the general term "stem cell" is commonly used to refer to the dilemmas that occur with embryonic stem cell research.

With respect for asking for PROOF (capital letters), the burden of proof is on the person making changes (you), not the person reverting an existing page (me). I'd prefer to wee other people agreeing with your change (and a consensus on the talk page) before changing on an article that is already classed GA.

PS. The timing of Daswerth's comments makes me suspect he is a sockpuppet for you - which if true does not impress me.

--I would not expect it to impress you, but perhaps surprise is the word you're looking for. And no, he is not a puppet for me. -shrink
