Hi Siddhesh, See you there! Look for a portly army officer type wearing specs (some of the time) and that'll be me. We'll have a nice discussion there.

Hi there[edit]

Hi Siddhesh, great to meet you in person. Sorry, since I was into helping out, so I couldn't spend time with you - my loss entirely. I'm at your service on WP. Lets have some interesting discussions here. AshLin (talk) 05:48, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to suggest you first get in touch with Wikipedia rules over a period of time. Every time you log on to edit, besides editing do read something or the other on Wikipedia Manual of Style or on Wikipedia Essays. That way over time you will steadily develop your way to swim through WP's shark infested waters. Also, edit on what interests you, the topics that are about things you love to do. Happy editing. File copyright problem with File:Dubai-Burj-Khalifa.JPG[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Dubai-Burj-Khalifa.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:32, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the response, Because Wikipedia gets a lot of images, it must be clear what copyrights or licensing applies to an image. If it's your own work, then licensing it as Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike is strongly recommended. :)

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:58, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
