Frank Collin strayed from his talks about ancient civilizations and lost civilizations when he wrote the book Military Encounters with Extraterrestrials: The Real World War. This book talks of military history of encounters with aliens during WWI, WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and more current military encounters of the 21st century. This book is filled with common logical fallacies that hurt his claims that military personnel did have encounters with extraterrestrials. Using Carl Sagan's Baloney Detection Kit from his book ''The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark'' you can figure out the common logical fallacies. In one of the stories in Collin's book, he talks about an occurrence involving Manfred von Richthofen, the Red Baron, shooting down a UFO and seeing aliens exiting the craft. This story is not told by the Red Baron himself, it is told by Peter Waitzrik, who fought with the Red Baron. The flaw is that this story is told many years later and Collin even states in Chapter 1 of this book that this story does not match up with historical records of the event. Also, keep in mind that Wikipedia is an encylopedia and content should be written in a fashion that is succinct and appropriately sourced. Are there any published reviews of Military Encounters with Extraterrestrials? If so, those would be appropriate sources for your addition. That said, note that blog posts aer not considered appropriate sources for Wikipedia. You would need to cite reviews published in more reliable publications. Collin's Military Encounters with Extraterrestrials: The Real World War (2018) discusses the military history of encounters with aliens. He uses examples from World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, as well as more recent ones. His book has a number of errors of fact. For example, Collin claims Manfred von Richthofen, also known as the Red Baron, shot down a UFO and seeing aliens exiting the craft. However, Collin's source is the Weekly World News a tabloid known for sharing false information. However, note that this would have to be based on appropriate, published sources and not your own research and analysis. The reference to Sagan would only be appropriate if a reliable external source identified specific logical fallacies that appear in the book of which examples could be provided.
