Citation overkill on articles. Needs to go more into detail, not repeat the same story with 40 general references. Also needs to see if it has any lasting effects to meet WP:NEVENT

This submission reads more like an essay than an encyclopedia article. Submissions should summarise information in secondary, reliable sources and not contain opinions or original research. Please write about the topic from a neutral point of view in an encyclopedic manner.

This reads like something one would find in a redtop, not in an encyclopedia. Replace stuff like "court slapped a fine" with "court imposed a fine", refer to the police as police and not "cops". Look out for weasel words such as the last bit of the lead: "has also been criticized" - criticised by whom, criticised for what?
