My edit was meant to be permanent. I left a brief reason as to why and did not see the need for further explanation as it was self explanatory. You can not use correct the name of a group as a slur, it can only be used in a derogatory manner. Eg, "Chinese people" said in a derogatory way is not a slur where as "chink" is. "Yid" is what Jews call other Jews, if someone calls a jew a filthy yid it is simply an insult (probably hate as it is nazis that tent to say it) but not a slur. That is all about an English soccer/football dispute...
As it says in the first articles, they simply say it in a negative way and use other insults/hate. The correct name itself still can not be a slur especially when they (the victims) call themselves the same name as well as the people that support them.
