I Killed the Prom Queen[edit]

Hi, can you please explain why you insist on changing "unclean vocals" to "lead vocals" in this band's article? You can use edit summaries to explain your edits, which helps avoid confusion.--MASHAUNIX 11:46, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for July 16[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Capture the Crown, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Reign of Terror (album). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Lead/unclean vocals[edit]

Hi again, can we please discuss this dispute? My argument is that since the terms "clean vocals" and "unclean vocals" aren't widely understood among readers with no background in metal/punk music, they should not be used alone, as they will not make sense to those readers without being contrasted and linked to their relevant articles. If you disagree, can you please explain why? Thanks.--MASHAUNIX 19:31, 9 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It makes fine sense, "unclean" isn't even a Word. Its hardly a term. Lead Vocals are what they are. Lead Vocals. CombatMarshmallow (talk) 21:46, 9 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
My problem isn't with the term "lead vocals", but with the fact SirBartleMerryworth insists on leaving "clean vocals" next to "lead vocals" even though "clean vocals" makes no sense to many readers when presented alone.--MASHAUNIX 06:41, 10 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In your POV it doesn't make sense. I see the "clean" vocals as a contrast to what the lead vocals are doing. Very Clearly. Watch out. if you haven't noticed "mashaunix" makes stuff up, thats nicer... and pushes his point of view Its the Only reason he has Multiple accounts I mean Multiple accounts that never edit usually do the same type of edits and just happen to "appear" and contribute to the deceptive editing. You should look at his talk page and see beaming Examples of this. CombatMarshmallow (talk) 12:25, 10 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
What other accounts? Can you show me an edit I have made from a different account?--MASHAUNIX 08:56, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

List of Cleveland Browns Starting Quarterbacks[edit]

Your interest is appreciated, but could you refrain from updating the number of games started per player until the player actually starts a game? In other words, this is meant to be a "History" page, and not a page for future speculation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.179.161.22 (talk) 20:39, 27 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. August 2016[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Shaunae Miller. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. So you know, re-inserting an iffy word that got removed so many times I had to get the page locked looks bad. Your edit summary, where you lied through your teeth by calling an accurate description of what happened a "typo," looks worse. It's really weird putting a template like this on a veteran user's page, but I gotta do it since you're supposed to know better. RunnyAmiga (talk) 01:27, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

With the edit summary "typo," you chose to lie in your effort to get this contentious edit reinserted. With the edit summaries "I saw the race and she clearly dove. Anybody with eyes can see it" and "Everybody can tell she dove," you're admitting that you're violating WP:NPOV by using original research to get this contentious edit reinserted. With your categorical refusal to actually discuss before reverting, you're edit warring and disregarding at least four other editors. You've been here over a year and you're still up to this kind of nonsense? I'd actually consider letting it go if I got a truly decent answer as to why you're doing this. But since you've ignored several requests to stop reverting and discuss this, I doubt I'll get an answer. Consider this your final warning. RunnyAmiga (talk) 16:43, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, SirBartle, your edits are nothing approaching vandalism. They're edit warring, yes, as are @RunnyAmiga:'s (who has been warned), and both sets of editors' edits are disruptive, but that does not constitute vandalism. if you continue to disagree on the use of the widely reported word "dove", you both have the obligation to discuss on the appropriate talk page to reach consensus. --Drmargi (talk) 16:53, 20 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Shaunae Miller shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Blocked[edit]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of three days for vandalism. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ian.thomson (talk) 05:49, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Edits like this or this are absolutely unacceptable and you should know better by now. If it wasn't for your other (apparently good faith) edits, your block would be longer -- do not expect that to happen if you are blocked for vandalism again. Ian.thomson (talk) 05:49, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And do not just put the "source" in the edit summary. Provide a whole link to the specific page that has the information you are citing, and put it in a citation tag after the information. See WP:CITE for more information. This applies even if you are adding something positive -- no source, no addition. This applies especially to reasons given in articles (Wikipedia does not use original research, so editor conclusions are not allowed). Ian.thomson (talk) 05:15, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
