A tag has been placed on Sterlite Energy Limited requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Autopatrolled

[edit]

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:

  • This permission does not give you any special status or authority
  • Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
  • You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
  • If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing! Acalamari 21:14, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Carl Vinson

[edit]

Your recent addition to the Carl Vinson entry needs a citation. You might also go back and re-read it. The first sentence isn't a complete sentence and I'd fix it but I'm not sure how. Bmclaughlin9 (talk) 17:56, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Thanks. skcpublic (talk) 19:00, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Talk:Route 606 (Afghanistan). I would prefer if you moved the information from the Delaram–Zaranj Highway to the Route 606 (Afghanistan) article since you wrote it. Thanks. FieldMarine (talk) 20:57, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't find a public resource that used that name for the highway. If you can refer me to one, I'd be happy to merge the pages. --Skcpublic (talk) 01:42, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

sadly another one started this time with infobox of indo pak 1971, the damage to airfields that were shortly repaired have been added to Casualty/losses for india. i wonder how long the infobox will be if the same things are included Casualty/losses for Pakistan. --ÐℬigXЯaɣ 00:07, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

can you please confirm if this [2] is correct or not. regards -- ÐℬigXЯaɣ 03:36, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

sounds far-fetched. 6,500 tons would make it too big to be a frigate - it would be a destroyer by Indian and most other naval standards.Skcpublic (talk) 07:52, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
you were right; it didn't show because the field wasn't part of the "template:infobox Ship Class Overview"; it belongs in "template:infobox Ship Characteristics". I've cleared it. Thanks. --Skcpublic (talk) 18:03, 8 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WP India Tagging on new articles

[edit]

Hi , Skcpublic how are you? I just wanted to remind you not to forget to add the tag {{WP India}} the talk pages of India related articles that you create, actually i was browsing some of the Indian navy articles that were still untagged with {{WP India}}, and found that you had created them. I also found List of Indian naval aircraft which is a newly created article. Please note that this tagging helps a lot in improving the articles by attracting Indian editors to the article. At last i would request you to please consider patrolling the talk pages of articles that you have created for tagging it with {{WP India}}, keep up the good work, thanks and regards -- ÐℬigXЯaɣ 23:05, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sure - thanks for the reminder. Skcpublic (talk) 17:11, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move at Sharam

[edit]

Hi. Just to let you know, I changed your requested target for this move from "Sharam Tayebi or Sharam (DJ)" to "Sharam Tayebi or Sharam (DJ)" - if this is not what you intended, please feel free to change this back although that would not be a valid page title! Cheers, Nikthestoned 09:05, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's what I intended. Thanks for updating it. Skcpublic (talk) 17:11, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sk,
Please see Template talk:Aircraft specifications#"alt" parameters in template should be removed and Template talk:Aircraft specifications#Use of template:convert. To remove "alt" would mean work on hundreds of articles. But then, hundreds of editors have probably "shot themselves in the foot"! Cheers, Peter Horn User talk 03:10, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the respective "View history", the latest revisions/revertals, of Mil Mi-4 and Template:Aircraft specifications as well, especially the latter. Btw, do you remember the article in which that faulty conversion appeared? Peter Horn User talk 13:46, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Jagjit Singh Arora cut and paste move

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Jagjit Singh Arora a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Jagjit Singh Aurora. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Jay (Talk) 12:14, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rashtriya Ispat Nigam, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
