January 2017[edit]

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that in this edit to Molecular beam epitaxy, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 07:33, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have no issue with the edit itself. The best way to handle such an issue is by the article's talk page: talk:Molecular beam epitaxy. See wp:talk page guidelines and wp:notifications to let the other person know.
The problem is that you removed sourced content from the article. Your reason in the wp:edit summary (ES) was by personal knowledge. i.e. wp:original research. A reader has no source to verify your claim. You can add such information to the talk page talk:Molecular beam epitaxy and add to your ES "See talk". Also, you added information that was not sourced in the article. Per wp:verifiability ((WP:V), information needs to be referenced. Please see help:referencing for beginners and help:footnotes. You can restore your edit via the wp:page history, but please, add a reference when you do. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 01:37, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
