End Child Prostitution and Trafficking[edit]

Hello, please do not keep removing what the acronym of End Child Prostitution and Trafficking's name stands for, unless you can provide a source that says they have changed their name to ECPAT and no longer assign meaning to those letters. Otherwise, even if they prefer to be known by the acronym, the name needs to stay as it is. Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 08:23, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jessica, The organization has changed its name. After publishing this document, which prohibits the use of the term "child pornography." http://luxembourgguidelines.org/ It now goes by the name "ECPAT International" only. The original name is no-longer used. I mentioned this in the text. I can add the link to the terminology guildelines if you like.

Thanks very much for the reply. The link you provided here is appreciated, but that document is awkward to navigate and 114 pages long. Do you have another source (or specific point in that document) which explicitly discusses the name change?
If the organization is now known only by the acronym, the wiki article's name itself will need to be changed. I would wait for that to be done before changing the name within the article's text, as other editors are likely to revert your edits, as I did.
