Howdy, we don't add diacritics to the players names, on North American-based hockey rosters. GoodDay (talk) 15:08, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK I found the page that says diacritics will not be used. However i completely disagree with it. It is a completely English centric decision which in times of Unicode should not be used. Non English players are basically being renamed.

It was a compromise reached after years of disagreements. GoodDay (talk) 14:09, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

jersey in infobox

[edit]

are you adamant on keeping this? i figured it would be better to delete and unclutter the infobox, and if necessary have a paragraph on the jerseys in the body--Львівське (talk) 20:41, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

that's really not for me to say I just fixed the template so that it would comply with the usage documentation. The reason I did that is because one of the pages I try to maintain wasn't showing the jersey picture anymore. If you want to change the infobox template I guess you should start a discussion on the template's page. Personally I think jersey's should be included but that's just my opinion. However you shouldn't change an infobox template without also changing the documentation otherwise people will have problems figuring out why something isn't working just like I did.
