Notice

The article Savannah LaBrant has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

None of the sources are reliable and independent.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Request reason:

Hi, I was blocked indefinitely for self promotion and possible spam or advertising purposes. I’m deeply ashamed to have inconvenienced the Wikipedia community and I’m not quite sure what to say. I recently started editing because I thought it would be a constructive way to simultaneously learn while giving back, and I clearly have a lot to learn about the specific applications of Wikipedia tenants (perhaps I took WP:BOLD too far while neglecting other principles).

I have no personal stake or close relationship with subjects of the pages I’ve edited, and I am willing to reveal aspects of my identity which would show that I’m not acting in self-promotion (if that’s necessary, please let me know the best way of going about that).

I’ve found that editing has a rather steep learning curve, and if I were unblocked, I would commit to strictly editing existing articles since I’m clearly struggling to discern which topics are deserving of their own pages.

I understand if you can’t accept my good faith argument. I humbly request suggestions for ways that I can work toward contributing, whether that’s donating, studying Wikipedia guidelines, or working on different WMF projects (I feel profoundly guilty and I would really like to right my bad Wikipedia karma). From the bottom of my heart, I’m so sorry, and I’m very thankful that you’re making Wikipedia the best encyclopedia it can be.

Decline reason:

You would need to explain why you and User:Sillyspice would be on the same IP address. Also, User:Frutti xperiment and you were on the same IP address. My guess is that you're all being paid to edit Wikipedia. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 23:17, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi, thanks for the quick response. I am in no way being paid to edit Wikipedia. I now realize that I did engage in sock puppetry, though it was a mistake, since I switched browsers from Chrome to Safari (where I had an older account logged in) without thinking much of it. The reason I had two accounts in the first place might seem stupid, but I told a friend about the this one (User:Smalltownsquirrel) and I was worried they'd look at my edits and judge me for having trivial interests (ie pop culture). I have no idea who User:Frutti xperiment is, but I just moved into a new apartment with a few roommates, so maybe it's one of them or a previous tenant. There are a lot of people who have used this router. Please let me know if you have further questions-- I'm being completely honest, though this might be a "road to hell is paved with good intentions" situation. I'm really ashamed for my carelessness and feel somewhat frustrated by the whole situation (most definitely frustrated with myself) since I was only ever earnestly trying to acquire a Wikipedia-editing hobby, never editing with an ulterior motive. I still would like to hear more about opportunities to contribute to Wikipedia or other online information projects even if this might be grounds for being permanently banned. This whole thing has frankly shaken me up a lot (haven't felt this guilty since getting detentions in grade school!) and I would really like to find a way to make the internet a little better, even if I might not be cut out for Wikipedia. So let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you in advance and I apologize again for the inconvenience.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 21:40, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
