Editor abuse problem
I am sorry for worrying you, but I am having a problem with Shawn in Montreal who is continuing to make personal comments about me in the section for Category:Doctor in the House - and TV sequels on the Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2011_April_16 page. His comments are as follows:
- Note that this CfD and the tag on the category page was blanked by creator User:Figaro. I have rolled back both edits and posted a comment on his Talk page. I have not issued a warning out of respect for the fact that he appears to be an experienced editor, but will if this continues. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 14:33, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- My comment above was blanked as well by category creator Figaro. I have restored it. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 16:00, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Unwisely, I deleted the section for Category:Doctor in the House - and TV sequels (which I should obviously have left on the page), because I intended to retify the situation by merging two category pages into one (which I have now done).
I apologise and regret having removed the content, but, unfortunately, I can't undo what I did. Ever since then, Shawn in Montreal has been trying to shame me on the Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2011_April_16 page. Because of Shawn in Montreal's stated threats to me, on the page (in a public forum), and although the naming of editors, by another editor, is considered personal abuse and is strictly against Wikipedia policy, I have decided to leave his comments on the page and ignore them (I removed his comments twice, but he just continues to reinstate them, with added remarks about me each time). I have also tried to reason with Shawn in Montreal on his 'talk page', but evidently to no avail, and have therefore decided not to continue my correspondence with him. I have also removed his remarks to me from my own 'talk page'.
Would it be possible, please, for you to intervene in this matter. I would very much appreciate it. Thankl you. All the best. Figaro (talk) 17:01, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know if I need to comment here, but as I see that my actions have been raised on this User talk page as "abuse," let me simply reiterate that as one can see, my comment above was not a personal attack. In fact, from the time I first reversed his blanking of the Cfd tag and discussion using AGF rollback, I have tried to assume good faith and be as civil as possible. Figaro seems to not understand that he does not have the right to delete my comments from a Cfd (or the CFd itself) simply because he disagrees. If he feels it is "abuse" for me to uphold that guideline, I am sorry. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 19:48, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
- Snowolf, I don't know when you'll see this, but as the "abuser," just thought I'd let you know that this routine CfR -- or what should have been routine -- has been closed as rename by the admin. Sorry this all ended up on your User talk page. Oh, and if you're into Arctic wolves, you must check out Bill Mason's Cry of the Wild; see the external link. best, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 03:04, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
