Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with how to send in secondary articles (i.e. newspaper & magazine articles) to wikipedia to have a valid source for the wikipedia page I am trying to create.

Soccerg7932 (talk) 16:47, 7 January 2018 (UTC) Thank you, Alyssa[reply]

Hi Alyssa - if you'd like to simply paste here the url(s) of the secondary sources you have found, I'd be happy to guide you through inserting them. It does look like you've already been told that sources you have already used are not regarded as reliable. So we need new one. I also see that you've only ever editid this draft article before - making a new article is one of the hardest tasks anyone can perform here. Do please read this link: WP:Your first article. The actual guidance you need for adding references can be found here: Help:Referencing for beginners.
I'll be back in an hour or so to see if you've replied. It's possible someone else may have picked up this call and responded by then. Regards from the UK, Nick Moyes (talk) 17:31, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Nick Moyes' advice. You don't need to send in articles but cite them in your draft so that our readers can look them up themselves. For print sources such as a 1970s newspaper article that hasn't been digitized you will need to provide enough bibliographical information to allow others to find that newspaper article in a library archive - name of the newspaper, exact publication date, title of the article, page number, author, ... The video at Help:Referencing for beginners shows how to easily create nicely-formatted footnotes that provide all that information. Huon (talk) 18:34, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

My wiki article was deleted

[edit]

Hi,

I am trying to find out why the page I made 2 years ago about my father Christopher Tyson was taken off of Wikipedia. Is there a way to recover the page?

Thank you! Soccerg7932 (talk) 14:47, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
