Hi Drmies,
Thanks a lot for the time you have spent in reviewing the draft. I truly appreciate it. It is the first time I am submitting an article and I am going to follow your comments as a lightning guide.
The article is about the martial art I do practice. My master has asked me to translate the original article in spanish to English. Although I personally agree with the writting style details you have mentioned in your comments, I tried to modify the less from the original article. I guessed that if it has been accepted in Spanish (and German, among others), it may also be in English wikipedia. Same for the references.
I am going to edit the article trying to apply your comments. For the references, I am bit concerned. The trasmission of knowledge has been mostly oral, so there are very poor references with deep explanations of the terms that are mentioned in the article. I think the best approach will be to shorten the list of references as much as I can just providing a few significant links. Will it be ok? Is there a low limit for the number of references?
Thank you very much in advance. Hope the second try is better!
Best regards,

New article[edit]

Hi, I would recommend reading Help:Your first article to get a general understanding of how to write an article. The first thing to do is find in depth coverage in several sources that Wikipedia accepts as Wikipedia:Reliable sources, which don't need to be in English. Then you can write an article by summarising those sources. If there are no reliable sources, then the subject lacks Wikipedia:Notability and should not have an article. The Spanish and German wikipedias have their own rules so an article there may not be suitable for English Wikipedia.

As discussed at the Helpdesk it seems you were not randomly assigned a mentor. You can still ask questions at the WP:HELPDESK or the WP:TEAHOUSE for new editors. Helpdesk questions are archived after a few days, so if you want to continue the discussion you should start a new topic rather than replying to the archived copy.
