About adding Manekshaw's quote on Gorkhasto sundry articles

[edit]

Hi Sohan, Great to hear you are an afficionado of the Gorkha and Sam Manekshaw. The addition of a quote must be appropriate, married into the narrative and referenced. Just cutting and pasting boiler plate text in any conceivably related article, that too in the lead, is not constructive and leaves a trail of damage that someone else has to clean up. The presence of that quote is suitable in Gorkha and Sam Manekshaw but not in any of the other articles. I would recommend you to read up the links in my welcome message above and edit very carefully. Editing is an art not a chore. Being fairly knowledgeable and an Indian Army officer to boot, feel free to approach me for any clarification or mentoring. AshLin (talk) 13:59, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
