Hey there - thought I'd just give you this big welcome box to give you some pointers about places you might like to look at for info. As far as reverting vandalism is concerned, we always need more people looking out for it at recent changes so that will certainly be useful. If you haven't noticed already, there are a few tools that you can get your hands on to make reverting and warning users easier and quicker. I use Twinkle myself which adds all kinds of useful extra features. You can also take a look at programs like VandalFighter which gives you a nice scrolling list of recent changes.
