November 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Tacyarg. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Adrian Hayes (adventurer) have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 12:05, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Adrian Hayes (adventurer). Wikipedia is not a collection of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links may include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. GorillaWarfare (talk) 08:11, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Sonia.sherif. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 16:03, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I have taken out some of the content from this article which did not have a reference from a reliable source, such as the subject's speaking career. I have also taken out the links to YouTube - these are not permitted on Wikipedia (see WP:ELNO). Please would you discuss on the article's Talk page if you want to make further changes? Also, if you do have a conflict of interest (if you are making these changes as part of your job or because you are family or friends of the subject) you do need to declare that on your user page. Best wishes, Tacyarg (talk) 09:40, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
