re: Aqademya[edit]

Greetings... As far as I'm aware, the Aqademya concerns itself with practically every aspect of Hebrew study and development, and makes up all kinds of words nobody knows or uses...but stops short of recommending one community's pronunciation over another. That said, they do have a recommended standard for transliterating Hebrew into Roman characters, which basically amounts to aiming to the lowest common denominator. User:IZAK has probably studied this in the most depth of anyone on Wikipedia tho... :-) Tomertalk 19:43, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that I can't speak to...I pronounce ח and ע as pharyngeals and ג, for me, (בלי דגש) is often confusing for people who prefer a uvular trill or approximant or whatever for ר, which, for me, is an alveolar trill...although I can switch to uvular (my Spanish is the exact opposite...I almost always use a uvular trill for rr in Spanish), depending on whom I'm addressing. AfD nomination of Mandalorian language[edit]

I have nominated Mandalorian language, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mandalorian language. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. --EEMIV (talk) 01:04, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
