Hi Soul Jazz and Snips, I removed part of you edit but also removed other existing portions due to it being unsourced which violates Wikipedia's Biographies of living people policy or poorly sourced (source with questionable reliability). I think that addresses your general concern for that portion of your edit. Also, please feel free to start discussions on article's talk pages (i.e. Talk:Michelle Salzman) if you think content gives undue weight or has other issues. If you ever have questions or need help, you can ask at the Teahouse. S0091 (talk) 19:22, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest[edit]
Hello, Soul Jazz and Snips. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Michelle Salzman, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. TornadoLGS (talk) 18:33, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. I do not have a relationship with the subject other than living in the same area of Florida. I am not paid and I have never spoken with her about this Wiki. I just saw the biased political attacks on her that have been put on her page previously by what looks like the same person creating multiple accounts. Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion[edit]
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. Curbon7 (talk) 20:02, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. I just commented back on it. I'm not the subject but I live in her district. We have a group of people here who are politically motived against her and routinely spin information and post one-sided attacks. I didn't realize I had edited anything incorrectly, and was attempting to show more excerpts from the article besides the one sided attacks they've been posting on her Wikipedia page. I am also not paid by anyone and don't know anything about the disclaimer which is mentioned on the noticeboard. Soul Jazz and Snips (talk) 23:19, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
