Ann Putnam Senior

[edit]

Hello, and thanks for starting the article Ann Putnam Senior. I've moved the other version you started to Draft:Ann Putnam Senior: you'd be very welcome to merge the newer content from there to Ann Putnam Senior. Please let me know if you'd like any help with this. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 05:52, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your help. I’m new at this and I was having a devil of a time trying to get the mobile view to work. I’m glad to know I didn’t lose the other work! SouthieFid (talk) 10:51, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Adela of Louvain (Q2315828)

[edit]

Hello SouthieFid,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Adela of Louvain (Q2315828) for deletion, because it's a redirect that seems implausible or is an unlikely search term.

If you don't want Adela of Louvain (Q2315828) to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Speedy deletion nomination of "Sybilla Corbet"

[edit]

Sybilla Corbet, a page you created, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is a test page. Use the sandbox for testing.

You are welcome to contribute content that complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content, or remove the speedy deletion tag from the page. You can contest the deletion by clicking the "Contest this speedy deletion" button inside the speedy deletion tag. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. AgisdeSparte (talk) 13:43, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm desperately trying to edit it with more information, but I cannot get this mf app to work. It just freezes on the page and won't give me a keyboard. SouthieFid (talk) 13:52, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand why a page with 7 primary or secondary sources from across multiple genealogical websites could be sandbox? It's frustrating that all my research was wasted. SouthieFid (talk) 16:03, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@SouthieFid, the page was deleted by CactusWriter. You can ask them to restore it to draftspace, where you can work on it without risk of immediate deletion. -- asilvering (talk) 02:58, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@SouthieFid. The Sybilla Corbet article was initially tagged as a test page by User:AgisdeSparte but they subsequently removed the tag after you added information. Then you replaced the tag requesting the speedy deletion. I again removed the tag with the edit summary "removing speedy (previously declined by initiator) -- appears to be a mistake by author -- use G7 for author request." Then you replaced the speedy deletion tag again. At that point, I assumed that you wanted the article deleted and complied with your request. I can restore the article to draft space, if your persistence in re-adding the CSD tag was a mistake. Let me know. CactusWriter (talk) 20:15, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, it sounds like you're having difficulty editing with the app? I don't edit on mobile so I can't offer much advice, but I can tell you that many (most?) editors who use mobile to edit don't use the app. Instead, they log on to wikipedia through their mobile browser. You might find that approach less frustrating. -- asilvering (talk) 21:20, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Green's "Around the World in 31 Days" GA Editathon – October 2024

[edit]

Hello SouthieFid:

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2024!

Running from October 1 to 31, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!
