Hey I was wondering if you could take a look at Iam.20.M (talk · contribs)? Looks like they're a sock of Iam.i.20 (talk · contribs), who you had blocked a few days ago. Note the near identical names and these similar edit requests.[1][2]. Thanks. Alivardi (talk) 01:27, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

Thanks and a concern.

Hey SpacemanSpiff thanks for restricting this guy , although he/she is still doing the same stuffs over Wikis of different other languages too. HinduKshatrana (talk) 14:39, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

You can ask for help with evidence at meta:SRG as it's a cross wiki issue. You should be able to refer to the SPI here and a steward can globally lock the accounts if they find disruption beyond just en.wiki. —SpacemanSpiff 16:50, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

Award mills

Hey there, I just AFDed Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards South. One thing that concerns me is that I believe the creator of the article created it so that they could then paste award wins and nominations across a wide swath of articles. The subtext being: I think they're just here to do promotion. This is an editor I previously blocked for vandalism, because they inflated a film's financial figures, and based on their article creation history, I see that in some cases they were creating an article each day or every few days, which always reeks of paid editing to me. Was wondering if you might take a look at see if I might be onto something. Thanks mate, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:50, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

I don't remember exactly but there was something around this usage of Dadasaheb Phalke in award titles by some scamsters to promote an award (Banking on confusion with THE Dadasaheb Phalke Award). You might find something on the history at WP:DSI. I'll look at it when I get some more on wiki time, but in the meantime @GSS: may be able to help. This is common practice in India where we also saw Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award which was an award for cash scheme that lots of newspapers covered because of the play on Indira Gandhi Prize. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 11:05, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: This is definitely a case of undisclosed paid editing to promote this non-notable fake award please see Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival and Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards (and I guess G4 applies). GSS💬 11:15, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
and the most recent paid editor they hired was Arshifakhan61 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) please see Draft:Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF) who were also spamming at simple-wiki (simple:Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival). Spiff, you might note WP:DADASAHEB. I built that after an editor brought to the community's attention the proliferation of various Dadasaheb Phalke-based awards. There are numerous examples of the media just doing a piss-poor job of discriminating the known award with these award mills. I'm actually embarrassed for them. Would still appreciate if you could take a look to see if the user mentioned is block-able. @GSS: Are you saying that you think Tarun is a sock of Arshifakhan61? Regards to both, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:18, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
I think once precedent is set with a few AfDs it should be easier with following AfDs. I'm guessing they'll soon start Tamil films, and then "northern Tamil Nadu Tamil films and such crap. Is there a COIN for this, obviously it's not one account but multiple publicists for this org.—SpacemanSpiff 16:52, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

Personal attack

Outlender07 is caste lobby continuously editing the same topic and vandalism. Please take any action or block to this user. AmmroEldorado (talk) 15:29, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

What about opening a new WP:SPI like this? Outlander07@talk 16:18, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

New SPI filed for Adithya. 157.44.137.109 (talk) 06:33, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
A clerk will handle it now, CU has come back on it. —SpacemanSpiff 16:28, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
