  • I'm arrogance, sorry. Please free select. thanks. --Akanemoto 18:34, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • ...and I've selected the Selected biography for Bill Gates. please free select (change), I don't think that are best. --Akanemoto 19:16, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

re:Periodic table[edit]

Hey, thanks! I didn't actually create it though *blushes* Some very smart folks before me did it, I just stole the code... {{:periodic table (standard)|width:100%|height:100%}}. Hey, you seem to be interested in portals! That's cool, I recently discovered them as well :) And thanks for the talkpage compliment - once again, a friend's work, not mine :) I'm really terrible with CSS and all the rest of it. Heh, well, take care! riana_dzasta 05:53, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage[edit]

Right now I'm busy writing some articles, XFD-ing and vandal hunting. Give me a few hours to find the proper code. If I haven't done this by Wednesday, feel free to prod me. - Mgm|(talk) 08:22, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Geometry portal[edit]

Whoops! My mistake. I obviously thought the cyan looked better than the red (else I wouldn't've changed it), but I don't want to make a big deal of it. Tompw 11:46, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One thing I have now changed is to set the box background to white... the reason is that many images have a white background (or will have a white border when used in WP without a frame), and thus look out-of-place ona non-white background. Hoep this is OK. Tompw 13:04, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your no-cursing template[edit]

Hello - this is about your {{No-cursing}} template, recently advertised on the notice board. Don't take offense, please, but I don't think it is a good idea at all:

  • Swearing at people on their talk pages (or anywhere else) is already forbidden under WP:CIVIL, etc. Do we really need to re-iterate on every discussion page that basic Wikipedia policies must be followed?
  • If yes, wouldn't pages get cluttered rather fast by lots of templates like "Please sign your posts on this talk page", "Please do not bite this newbie" etc.? And would people not get the wrong impression that these policies need not be followed if a talk page does not have these templates on it?
  • Also, if I visited your talk page and saw this message, I'd think: why does Flarn2005 believe that I, the model Wikipedian, would curse at him unless told not to? In other words, there may also be a WP:AGF problem with your template...
  • ... or even a WP:BEANS one: we shouldn't give people bad ideas they wouldn't even have thought of :-)

For these reasons, I'd recommend that you have this template deleted with {{db-author}}, or, if you feel you must have it, to move it to your user space (User:Flarn2006/No-cursing). You'd still be able to use it like a template then, like that: {{User:Flarn2006/No-cursing}}. Thanks for your consideration, Sandstein 18:07, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Vote[edit]

I see that you have created a template for voting. Please realize that this idea has come up many times before and has generally been rejected by the community. See Wikipedia:Templates for deletion/Log/Deleted/November 2005#Template:Vote and all derivatives for some of the discussion about it. I have tagged the template for deletion according to that WP:TFD decision. FreplySpang 23:11, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

I responed on my user page not sure if you saw it, anyways I fixed it, thanks for pointing it out :-) ▪◦▪≡Ѕirex98≡ 12:39, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA[edit]

Could you please withdraw your acceptance of the nomination? It can't be closed properly until you do. -Amarkov blahedits 18:35, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you took the opportunity to read through the comments that were made on the RfA page, not just looked at the numbers and got disappointed. Please don't be discouraged, keep on editing, and you'll try again someday if you want when you have a little more experience. If you have any questions about what I wrote let me know. Shared IP?[edit]

68.98.140.137 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) has been previously unblocked on one occasion as an IP you used, but the WHOIS information does not show it as a shared IP. Can you tell me a bit more about the nature of the IP? If you actually don't use the IP, or it's not really a shared IP, I'd be inclined to make the block a hard block. --Nlu (talk) 04:49, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Powerpuff Girls and Marcus[edit]

Just to let you know, since I see your post on Marcus'talk page, that Marcus is a Powerpuff Girls detractor. He doesn't like it because of its popularity over his own favourite shows. He always try to find the most trivial matters to dispute on. He also likes to delete other people's contribution without any good reason. He deleted a whole section, which I have later restored, just because he himself think it's not important. Please don't be intimidated or misguided by him. The show is still quite popular, especially in Japan where there is a PPG anime of their own (PPG-Z) ! Best regards. - DTRY 22:21, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You want to restore this conversation? Fine, it's your talk page, but there is no such thing as freedom of speech here on Wikipedia. Marcus 00:46, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. I advise you not to listen to DTRY. He knows less than half of what he's talking about regarding the show's popularity.

Coding[edit]

The code is in your edit screen. Between HTML comment tags. They start with The menu thingy is in a section called "CollapsableMenu", the box on the right is in a comment section called "RightBox code". To use them, copy everything between the HTML comment tags and paste it right above the comment. One thing: make sure the left side boxes are as long or longer than the right side ones. If the right ones extend further down, the space between left and right disappears. - Mgm|(talk) 08:56, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:URAnIdiot.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:URAnIdiot.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:04, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your userpage[edit]

Have you considered getting it semi-protected? It seems that your userpage has been the target of vandals recently. Semi-protection is very effective because it causes vandals to get disinterested; after my userpage was vandalised a sickening fourteen times in eight weeks, a month of semi-protection was just what the doctor ordered! Happy wiking, NF24(radio me!) 00:30, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, it seems that the person has created several sockpuppets to vandalize the page.Themasterofwiki (talk) 23:23, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection[edit]

After tomorrow, semi-protection won't do you any good, as his account will have aged sufficiently to bypass semi-protection (which only works on IPs and new accounts). We don't fully protect User talk pages, so the best thing to do is to report it when he vandalizes, so that we can take appropriate action at that time. - Philippe | Talk 00:10, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Marbles 2.svg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We requires this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
