Copyright problem: Hydra Vein[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Hydra Vein, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. Update regarding copyright concern[edit]

Since we do not yet have verification of permission by the processes set out above and sufficient time has passed since the placement of the notice, the article has been deleted for copyright concerns. This deletion is not necessarily permanent. If you have already sent a letter to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) and GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) (if you are not the copyright holder or have co-authored the material, release under CC-BY-SA-compatible license alone is sufficient), the article will be restored when that letter is received and processed by the Wikimedia Communications committee. Likewise, if you have not yet sent a letter, you still may (or resend it, if you believe your original may have been lost), and the article will be restored when that letter is received and processed.

As Wikipedia does not require proof of identity on account creation, it is essential that we receive external proof of authorization in order to ensure that we remain compliant with US Copyright law. It is also essential that we verify that copyright holders understand the extent of the release they are authorizing, in that our licenses permit modification and reuse in any forum, even commercial publication, as long as authorship credit is maintained and future copies are compatibly licensed.

I saw your message on Talk:Hydra Vein

The entry Hydra Vein was deleted as it was incorrectly flagged as a copyright infringement. I am the original author of both the Wikipedia entry and the compared entry on www.hydravein.co.uk and the copyright is mine. I'm happy to release this under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike license if that's required to have the Wikipedia entry restored. it's not enough to just grant permission this way, you have to follow the process outlined above to certify and have your application appropriately processed. According to the process outlined above, I need to release the entry under the license and e-mail the permissions address. I believe I have done both. Though I am the author of the piece, I am not the referenced web-site's owner. Do you need a mail from him, also? It's simple enough to request. Or do we now have to send a letter? Finally, if I simply change the submission on the referenced website, I take it you'll no longer have a copyright issue at all? If you are able to change the license of the text on the source website to CC-BY-SA, or make a notice there that the text is copyrighted to the person which can be reached through the e-mail address you sent to permissions-en, the pemission issue will be resolved immediately. Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Please note the original piece on the official website has, along with the rest of that website's content, been moved to Facebook on http://www.facebook.com/pages/Hydra-Vein/115026681855898?v=info If you'd like to check that page out, you'll see the piece now quotes copyright to me (and that the copyright name matches the e-mail address name from which I mailed the permissions inbox). Unfortunately, we have to be able to verify that the sender of the mail is the same person as the author of the text now posted on Facebook. A name is not enough, we require a direct e-mail trail that can be followed. In other words, we must be able to ascertain that through the e-mail address sent to the permission system, we can reach the individual behind the Facebook page, which is currently not possible.
While we understand that this may appear cumbersome, please understand that this is made to ensure that we protect not only Wikipedia but also the rights of authors willing to donate material to us. If you need further assistance, don't hesitate to get back to me.

Blimey, it's more than cumbersome :-) Okay, if I understand you correctly, you need to receive an e-mail from the guy to whom the Facebook page is registered (so you can trace the e-mail you receive back to him), confirming the piece that appears there was written by - and the copyright is held by - me and that I therefore have the right to release that same piece for publication on Wikipedia. This is necessary as, although I am specifically named as the copyright holder on that webpage, you can't ascertain it's actually me who opened the ticket. Is that it in a nutshell? Proposed deletion of After the Dream[edit]

The article After the Dream has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NALBUM, unable to locate independant coverage from reliable sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
