List of Asian records in track cycling
Unfortunately there is a missunderstanding in your edit. The standard track length of a velodrome is 250m. So why? Record time belongs to the distance (2 rounds women, 3 rounds men). Keep on. Greets.Montell 74 (talk) 10:26, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
- This is the standard track length but this is not a rule, and many tracks have different length, furthermore this is the way the official ACC Website writes this record. [1] -> Data -> Records -> Track Records. Mohsen1248 (talk) 11:17, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, but missunderstanding is still there. You allways see a record in relation to the distance. Maybe it's better to make it clear, f.e.: (250m track). Better to remove. When there is a record of a non-standard-track, then it's possible to use a footnote. Like oversized track in athletics. Montell 74 (talk) 11:36, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
- Both solutions look fine to me. I added the word "track". Mohsen1248 (talk) 13:33, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

Turkmenistan / 2007 Asian Games
According to this article [2] Turkmenistan competed at the 2007 Asian Winter Games. However the results page and its source doesn't list that athletes as competing. Should Turkmenistan be listed as a competing nation? Intoronto1125TalkContributions 02:31, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, I had a research about it, Turkmenistan had no competitors in 2007 Asian Winter Games, only officials. The official website is still partly available via webarchive. You can check all events one by one what I already did. Mohsen1248 (talk) 11:24, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- Should a note be made on the main article about Turkmenistan planned on competing (something like how Tonga was listed on the 2010 Olympics page)? Intoronto1125TalkContributions 01:21, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- The official website has Turkmenistan as competing [3]. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 01:27, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- thanks for the link, Very interesting, I will check it once again. Mohsen1248 (talk) 14:39, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- after a little search, I think I found it, this link tells everything, this guy Batyr Mamedov participated in 100m event but only as a guest, his result now I think a note in the main page is a must, can you do it ? Mohsen1248 (talk) 15:07, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- I will do put it up. Should I list Turkmenistan as competing with an asterisk? Also should his result be listed on the speed skating page but in italics to indicate it wasn't official? Intoronto1125TalkContributions 15:21, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- Honestly I don't know, this is very unique situation. but if you ask me, I think it's better to keep Turkmenistan as non-competing nation but with an asterisk ! and for the results page, I think it's better to not write his result in the table, writing a note somewhere in the page (maybe in lead section) looks better ! but still I'm not sure if this is the best idea, just my thought. Mohsen1248 (talk) 15:29, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- I moved Turkmenistan to the competing nations list in italics with a note, after all he did compete (it just didn't count to the official rankings). For the speed skating page I think we should include it (with asterisks and italics), because as I said he did compete but it wasn't official. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 15:36, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- The main page looks fine, but I think it's better to replace Turkmenistan (1) with Turkmenistan. for the results page, I'm not agree because we don't have the complete result. this guy could compete in another event as well and we have the same situation for the figure skaters. Mohsen1248 (talk) 15:41, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- Okay we will leave the speed skating page in the lead, and okay I will change that. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 15:54, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Asian Weightlifting records
Hi Mohsen1248. This [4] is about new records in Teheran. Do you know about this competition, are these records able to be ratified? Thanks.Montell 74 (talk) 09:26, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, I know about these records, It was a trial for 2012 Asian Championships, but these records are unofficial, Records can broken only in IWF sanctioned events (see IWF calendar) and doping test is necessary too. Mohsen1248 (talk) 09:46, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- OK. So also Iranian Weightlifting Federation doesn't recognize these results as Iranian records...(?) Thanks.Montell 74 (talk) 10:17, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- No, the current federation follows IWF rules, they even deleted some old records, my edit about this. Mohsen1248 (talk) 10:29, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

Iranian records in athletics
Hi Mohsen1248. What about the 41.17 hammer throw by Ebrahimi in October 2011? Not ratified by federation? Implausible distance?Montell 74 (talk) 17:54, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, apparently that event was unofficial. just a test for only one athlete. I thought it's official since they held it during an official competition. Mohsen1248 (talk) 19:22, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
Boxing at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Qualification
Hi.
Why did you undo my revision on the Template Boxing2012Olympics?
According to the official website of AIBA, the canadian boxer was the 5th in the category Light welterweight(64 kg).
As you can see in this source (http://88.85.4.8/pdf/000084/C75W64.PDF), he was the 5h in the Pre Olympic, and is qualified for the London 2012 Olympics.

- I did nothing for your "thank", no need for "thanks", I see many copyright violations but I don't care at all, I checked some of my very old edits to find my probable copyright mistakes, I don't care about others' edits, it's your problem, go and find them, if you removed even more, that wasn't mine and that's why I didn't remove it. I only reverted my own edits to not see unfriendly people like you in my talk page again. I don't want to talk with people who comes to my talk page with a warning instead of normal talk. I did a mistake, OK fine, I fixed it. Next time don't come to my talk page again unless it's necessary and this time (the last one, today) it wasn't. remember, you and your firend are not my boss. 1987 World Wrestling Championships
Hello. I have a question. How did you calculate the team points of women's freestyle? The figures don't add up. I think Norway is 48 points, France is 39 points. Isebito (talk) 16:10, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, I didn't calculate it, I found it in Japan Wrestling Federation website. But I know what's the problem, in team ranking only one wrestler per country is counted in each weight. for example Norawy has 39pts, (5pts in 44kg, 6 in 47, 6 in 50, 5 in 53, 4 in 57, 6 in 61, 3 in 65 and 4 in 70) for example the second Norwegian wrestler in 53kg (bronze medal winner) is not counted. Mohsen1248 (talk) 16:49, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your quick reply. According to FILA's database, Norway gained 3 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze, 2 4th, 1 5th. Consequently, Norway has 48pts(6×3+5×2+4×3+3×2+2×1). This figure coinsides with the figure in Japan Wrestling Federation website. In the Japan webseite, France's points is 53. But I think that's wrong. Isebito (talk) 05:38, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
- "Only one wrestler per weight for each country" → In Japan Wrestling Federation website, which you found, Norway has 48 points. The bronze medal winner of 53kg class has been counted. Could you tell me the source of "Only one wrestler per weight for each country"? Isebito (talk) 16:36, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- I know this, I follow wrestling closely, beside that, if you see this link, France is on the second place with 53pts, which is wrong, (actually 53>48) it means their scores aren't completely accurate. It was the first women's tournament, and they let countries to enter more than one wrestler per weight (which is not possible right now) but still only one of them counts in team ranking. Mohsen1248 (talk) 18:07, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- I know France's 53 points is wrong figure. I just want to know the source of "Counted was only one wrestler per weight for each country".Isebito (talk) 12:16, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
- I know it because I worked as volunteer for some wrestling tournaments about 10 years ago. I checked FILA website and there is nothing about this, probably because currently onle one wrestler is allowed to compete in official competitions and they don't count team ranking in international tournaments (with more than one wrestler per country). there is no source for what I claimed, (we are talking about 25 years ago) but on other hand there is no accurate source for opposite ! Japanese federation website is great but not always accurate. Mohsen1248 (talk) 22:26, 23 June 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for all of your work on Iran at the 2006 Winter Olympics . Perhaps you did so by accident when you updated the tables, but the fact about the opening ceremony song (Funkytown) was deleted. Getting Wikimedians to the Olympic Games
Hi. I am part of an effort to get Wikimedians access to the 2016 Summer Olympics as accredited reporters and photographers. Part of this effort includes covering the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Two Wikimedians have credentials to attend these games as reporters through Wikimedia Australia. As English Wikipedia does not allow original reporting, this is largely through Wikinews with a project page found at Wikinews:Paralympic Games. If you are interested in helping to get Wikimedians to the next Summer Olympics,I'd encourage you to assist with Wikinews efforts, and also to work on all language 2012 Summer Paralympic Wikipedia articles before, during and after the Games to demonstrate a track record of success. Thank you. --LauraHale (talk) 04:36, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

you have recently moved Ibrahim back to Ibragim, because it comes from... Russian. Of course, nor Ibragim, nor Ibrahim are Russian names, but the first one is the rendering, in Russian, for Ibrahim. But in the specific case, it is an Ukrainian name, and there are no G in Ukrainian language (except for some rare words). I am very logical, so I do not understand why you moved it back. Ibrahim is the Ukrainian rendering in Latin alphabet. Please reply here. thanks.--Enzino (talk) 15:30, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
- I still think this page should move to "Ibragim Aldatov" per Wikipedia:Common name#Common names, it says "Titles are often proper nouns, such as the name of the person, place or thing that is the subject of the article. خدا روح لیلا اسفندیاری را قرین رحمت نماید. از شما نیز سپاسگذارم. موفق باشید.Gire 3pich2005 (talk) 07:58, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

- 16:03, 25 August 2012 (UTC)

Hey dear friend!! I have added "Asia Cup" to honors of Iran national basketball team. Would you just take a look and say your opinion?Soroush90gh (talk) 05:06, 20 September 2012 (UTC) Hi, it looks good, but I just made some small changes. Mohsen1248 (talk) 14:32, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
Asia Cup
Hi Mohsen, next time please indicate your reasons before you make the edits. Chinese Taipei is a term used politically DURING SPORTS EVENT ONLY. It is not a country and therefore should not be included in the "host" section. If this confuses you, just check your world map, do you see Chinese Taipei?
In terms of geological locations, we use Taiwan rather than Chinese Taipei. Notice for the sports team I still left it as "Chinese Taipei"? Because politically, Chinese Taipei is correct as majority of the organizations call it. But in terms of locations, most would call Taiwan.
If you still have any questions please post it on my talk page before you make the edits okay? Thank you.Jjj84206 (talk) 21:40, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- I don't care about Taiwan or Chinese Taipei, if you have any problem contact IOC. official sources use this flag and this is the best possible reason. unfortunately something like this {{flagicon|ROC|Chinese Taipei}} doesn't work. I prefer using Chinese Taipei flag for Taiwan template but it doesn't work.
- and next time learn how to write in others talk pages if you expect any answers. Mohsen1248 (talk) 03:18, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
Sorry I don't spend that much time on Wikipedia as long as you do, I rarely have to go on others talk page to explain stuffs. And please, don't make your tone so sharp, this is when users usually start an argument.
As I have said before, Taiwan is used for locations. For example, "I'm from Taiwan", but you can't say, "I'm from Chinese Taipei" because Chinese Taipei is used only in sports competitions only. And it doesn't exist on the world map. As the case for World Cup too, the official site uses Taiwan as location rather than Chinese Taipei as a location. Mohsen1248 (talk) 20:19, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
I'm not trying to change all the Chinese Taipei into Taiwan. Only for "host locations". I still left other Chinese Taipei untouched. Please be reasonable in this matter.
I understand you may not be as familiar to cross-strait relations, as the explanations I posted. But it is according to the 1992 Consensus between China and Taiwan and you should not delete without any reason.Jjj84206 (talk) 04:38, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- I already know everything I have to know, Official sources use this flag and this name and this is enough reason. anyhow I asked WikiProject Flag Template to add Chinese Taipei variant for Taiwan template. Mohsen1248 (talk) 10:21, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- Per this discussion, I changed all tournaments in my watch list to Taiwan instead of Chinese Taipei.
- Mohsen, thank you for your hard work in this discussion. You have my respect.Jjj84206 (talk) 20:28, 12 October 2012 (UTC)

Hello, Sports2021, and thank you for your contributions!
Some text in an article that you worked on 2006 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship qualification (NORCECA), appears to be directly copied from another Wikipedia article, 2006 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship qualification (NORCECA). Please take a minute to double-check that you've properly attributed the source text in your edit summary.
It's entirely possible that this bot made a mistake, so please feel free to remove this notice and the tag it placed on 2006 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship qualification (NORCECA) at any time. MadmanBot (talk) 23:37, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

2010 Asian Games sub-article
Do not redirect the sub-article of the sports at the 2010 Asian Games, please. It helps main article neat and more professional.
Banhtrung1 12:28, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- Asian Games isn't as important as Olympics, the number of athletes per event is limited comparing to Olympics and we don't have single page for every single events. especially because the main page isn't that big. I will redirect these pages, if you insist on making sub-articles first write about this in Wikipedia:WikiProject Multi-sport events talk page, I will be OK with that if the majority think this is good. but till that day I will redirect the pages. I don't think you can make such a big change without asking others' opinion. Mohsen1248 (talk) 19:36, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, I saw single page for every single events in the article about 2011 Pacific Games, 2011 All-Africa Games and 2011 Pan American Games. It's the same level with Asian Games. You can do it in the articles about All-Africa Games and Pan American Games but I can't do the same in the articles about Asian Games. Why?
Banhtrung1 09:52, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
- I'm saying you have to ask others' opinion before such a big change. OK I'm almost agree with you only if you guarantee me you will do the same for all articles in 2002 Asian Games, 2006 Asian Games and 2010 Asian Games. do you ? also I think it's still better to ask other users' opinion, just to be sure nobody will revert your edits later. I mostly care about consistency between all Asian Games pages. Mohsen1248 (talk) 23:02, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

Hsu Chi-chieh
Hello, Mohsen1248. I noticed that you recently moved several articles about Taiwanese sportspeople, to correct the capitalisation of the given name. However, it seems that it did not work as intended in the case of Hsu Chi-chieh, because an existing redirect was blocking the page move. I give you credit for trying to work out a solution by copying the text over the redirect; however, unfortunately this is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution. It is known as a "cut and paste move". I have now requested deletion of the redirect by an administrator, so that the page move can be performed cleanly.
By the way, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please consider listing them at WP:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thanks! – Wdchk (talk) 02:14, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Can you amend your WP:RM to Hem Thon Ponleu please? Sportsreference.com is not reliable with Asian names. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Athletics at the 2006 Asian Games – Women's shot put, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lee Mi-Young (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Edit warring on this article
Please keep an eye out on how many reverts you are making on this article. I know that you have already reported this to AN3, but please remember that you might also be under the gun for a block if you keep reverting like this. So far I have counted 4 reverts over a period of less than 48 hours. Minima© (talk) 11:00, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, I don't think I did anything wrong yet, at first I thought I can deal with this user by adding references. my first refs probably weren't enough clear. so I explained things in edit summary, still no avail. but finally I found a clear references here, and still he removed it by saying nonsense. then it was obvious that I can't discuss with this IP user and reported this to AN3. I think removing a clear reference without reason is vandalism, am I right ? Mohsen1248 (talk) 11:22, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
- It's quite hard to explain, but I think it depends on the type of edit summary of the opposing party's edit. In some cases it is called vandalism if the opposing party removes referenced information or important verifiable references with no valid reason given in the summary. In this case the IP included the summary "wrong source" which means that it's a dispute over the reliability of the source. If you take this to the talk page or dispute resolution you might be able to come to some sort of agreement. Minima© (talk) 11:55, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
- Well, what is more reliable than an official ranking from the organization's official website ? Mohsen1248 (talk) 12:00, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

My edits on Mahram Basketball
Hey Mohsen, My edits on Mahram basketball up to date. I added The height of one of the players and i took out a player who no longer plays for Mahram and added a player who is going to play for them. These edits are right and would you please kindly stop replacing them. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anklebreaker3 (talk • contribs) 15:48, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
- Mahram's roster for the next season isn't announced yet, so this is their latest roster for 2012/2013 season. To me this is clear vandalism, but OK if you think you are right, provide a source for your edit, otherwise I will report you if you edit once again. Mohsen1248 (talk) 15:52, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
http://basketball.asia-basket.com/team/Mahram_Tehran/6526?Page=1 please take a look at that website which shows the Mahram roster. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anklebreaker3 (talk • contribs) 16:03, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
- And that name "Namdar" doesn't exist here. This is VANDALISM. not only Milic, almost all of these players will leave Mahram for the next season but this is Mahram's 2012/2013 season roster, their latest team. anyhow I removed Milic from their roster so you have no more pretense. Thank you for putting more information about the cue sports section of the 2013 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. I have been trying to find the list of athletes for the events for a while and can't seem to find it. Besides, you are welcome to expose the other sports sections. Rockies77 (talk) 04:24, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- lol, u r welcome but it's no big deal, I made almost all the pages for previous Asian Games / Indoor Games and will do the same for this tournament. Mohsen1248 (talk) 17:25, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
Futsal at 2013 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games
It doesn't make sense for Korea to be ranked first on total points, as they played 3 games and all other 2nd-placed teams played only 2. Of course, all rules don't make sense, so it's possible this is the correct system after all. Usually, if groups are of uneven numbers, matches against the bottom team in the group with most teams are not counted. This system was obviously not used (or Vietnam would have qualified). The only other fair system (as teams played an unequal number of games) would be to rank teams by points per game. 92.15.196.9 (talk) 23:42, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
- This is wikipedia, you can't add something to the page just because you think it makes sense, to me it was clear cheating by Korea, they wanted an easy path to the semifinal, so they invented this format, they always invent new rules when they host international tournaments. and also you can read this article, right after the the end of Group A matches they wrote this article in AFC website, they didn't even wait for the rest of groups result just because having 6pts was enough for Korea. Mohsen1248 (talk) 23:47, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. It was not just because I thought it made sense - I actually thought that was what system they used (there wasn't an explanation on the website). I just didn't think that Korea would be able to do this in an official competition. It does seem like cheating... First, I thought it was results against 1st and 3rd placed teams in the group that counted (a normal situation - then I thought Vietnam cheated to get a 0-0 draw with Lebanon, as this is not a common result in futsal). Anyway, thanks for the link - it seems to prove that the Koreans used this unfair system. 92.15.196.9 (talk) 00:03, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
- In a mini tournament like this, they will do everything to please the host nation. I also think Vietnam-Lebanon result is suspicious but they probably didn't know it so they (Vietnamese) thought they can advance with a draw. but as you see we had no draw in 2nd day since probably everybody found out this rule. Asian Games 2006
Mohsen1248 (talk) 22:45, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
