Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:89th Academy Awards are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. November 2017[edit]

Hello Spucknic. I hope you're having a good weekend. Please take the following in the collegial spirit it's intended. Back in August, you were advised that a talk page is for discussing its associated article, not for general discussion of the topic, but you've been doing the latter again, most recently at Talk:African Americans‎. Although removal of such remarks is permissible by policy and precedent, I haven't removed (or archived) what you wrote there because I'd like to see you become a trusted member of the Wikipedia community. To that end, I wonder if you'd consider removing it yourself. That's called self-reverting, and you can easily do it by going to the page history and clicking "undo" beside the relevant edits. Feel free to stop by the Teahouse if you need any help. RivertorchFIREWATER 17:50, 18 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
