Please go to Image:MarionTinsley.jpg and edit that image description page to give the source (URL, if online; ISBN, if scanned from a book; and if you've taken the image yourself, just say so) and the licensing status (the list of image copyright tags might be useful) of this image. Yeah, not bad now. Maybe give a direct link to the Tinsley page at UC Alberta (Chinook team). If you want to do it really well, you might try asking Jonathan Shaeffer whether he could release the image under a free license such as the GFDL (see e.g. our boilerplate requests for permission), I've found that academic people often agree to license their images under the GFDL. Unfortunately, the workaround you suggested is not yet feasible; there's some debate over whether it should be implemented at all, in fact (questions of abuse...).
