A belated welcome![edit]

The welcome may be belated, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Srikhardsson. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{help me}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome!  I dream of horses  If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message  (talk to me) (My edits) @ 03:22, 5 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

March 2019[edit]

Hello, Srikhardsson, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Ste richardsson (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Pontificalibus 10:34, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your comment here[edit]

Hello, I saw your comment on a deletion discussion which looks like it was added in the wrong place so I have moved it to the discussion page. It is really easy to get discouraged when pages are nominated for deletion, but I think it would be a shame if you don't edit again because I suspect you would be a decent editor. I would suggest editing across a range of topics and taking it slowly rather than creating an article from scratch, and most of what you need to get your head round is linked in the belated welcome post above, I found this helpful when I started. The thing you said was confusing, the four tildes, that simply adds your signature at the end of any post you make on a talk page, so everyone knows who has written what. Everything on wikipedia needs to be accountable and transparency is one of its strengths. Hope that helps. Welcome. Mramoeba (talk) 15:05, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello from SRikhardsson[edit]

Hello everybody, I'm really trying my best, but Wikipedia is very overwhelming for me. I'm British, I speak fluent French and Japanese and several other languages to a lesser degree, but dealing with even the smallest thing here makes me feel like the linguist from the film Arrival trying to decipher an alien language. I've rarely had so much anxiety simply looking at a website, let alone trying to write a simple article.

I WAS at first confused about Pontificalibus's comment about me having multiple accounts, but NOW I've seen that I did indeed make a single edit from a slightly different username. Even though I've just seen that I still have no idea how/why that happened (probably trying to edit on my laptop and app at the same time). Unfortunately, I have no idea how to get into that account or how to delete the account as there is no connection to any email address mentioned. If someone can help, that would be fab.

I would appreciate if the article on Terri O’Sullivan (and perhaps also the one on XJW Friends) were retained, even if all of my others (including the one about my own self) were deleted or heavily rewritten by a person with less of a conflict of interest. Terri has done two interviews on the BBC, which are linked to in the article I wrote about her. She is also a published author for the In-Mind journal so I believe this to be sufficient cause for retaining her article due to her notability not only in mainstream media but in a well-known scientific journal.

My aim is not to advertise, as I do not represent any commercial company, my aim is to provide information about a valuable charitable service which has already saved lives. I want to show you that I have acted in WP:GOODFAITH as Mramoeba mentioned in the discussion on Ms. O'Sullivan's article. I will bow out of the editing process until I have taken time to read and fully digest the links kindly sent by I dream of horses. Thank you all for your patience. Ste richardsson (talk) 21:20, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be editing from both accounts on the same days (both today) on different talk pages
  1. Special:Contributions/Srikhardsson
  2. Special:Contributions/Ste_richardsson
You need to decide which account you want to use. We cannot delete them, but we can block one for you, if you want, and mark as out of use. Ronhjones  (Talk) 21:50, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ste richardsson, You claim having multiple accounts was a mistake and you don't know how to access it but used that account to post here. I'm therefore inclined to refer you to WP:SPI. I won't comment on the AfDs but I suggest you post your arguments for keeping them there. RhinosF1(chat)(status)(contribs) 21:51, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Feeling unwelcome[edit]

I was unwittingly using one account on my computer & phone browser and another on the app that I had. If I opened a page in my phone browser, it would often open it in the app, which was using a different account. It is an easy mistake for a person new to the site to make seeing as the app is so different visually from the website, and I'm not sure why RhinosF1 has shown such suspicion.

"Sockpuppetry" is by definition using an online identity for purposes of deception. The very fact that my two accounts had SUCH similar names srikhardsson/ste_richardsson should have made it blatantly obvious (for anyone who, on a daily basis, uses logic, reason and objectivity as a tool of investigation) that my intentions were not to skulk around clandestinely, causing mayhem on Wikipedia. Nobody is that stupid to create 2 sock puppets with such similar names in order to deceive and the evidence shows that I've not been on a mission (on either accounts) to mess around with articles left, right and centre.

Only one or two people have given me the benefit of the doubt, or a assumption of WP:GOODFAITH, but the general atmosphere of accusation, suspicion and immediate escalation here is too much for me to handle while, at the same time, trying to figure out this most bewilderingly complex and labyrinthine of websites. This combination of factors has left me utterly de-motivated to carry on taking part in this project.

I will therefore be taking a break from Wikipedia.

Thank you for all the people who've genuinely tried to help and guide me, especially my talk page, Tacyarg and Mramoeba. See you around, Srikhardsson (talk) 14:59, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Srikhardsson, What confused me was your statement that you didn't know how to access the other account but had actually used it to make that edit. While I probably was a bit bitey you'd be surprised what some socks will do. I hope you come back soon and apologise for my hasty reaction. RhinosF1(chat)(status)(contribs) 15:11, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Srikhardsson, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.  RhinosF1(chat)(status)(contribs) 21:59, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I understand and accept the Proposed deletion of XJW Friends[edit]

I completely understand reasons for the proposed deletion. The organisation XJW Friends has only been going by that official name for less than two years, and it had only recently been unified from disparate groups with many previous names which were only loosely associated names, as well as being made up of individuals who often fail to mention the organisation when in the media spotlight.

I shall save the article on my private computer until such time as we grow to a sufficient WP:ORG. I have planned not to continue writing the article myself, but to have it checked and overhauled by an independent source who is more experienced with Wikipedia rules, who will then scour it for the innate bias that I must have toward it, and upload the article in due time, as and when we have more coverage under the unified name. At XJW Friends, we will encourage our members and co-organisers to use the name more regularly when talking to the media.

Once again thank you for your calm and measured explanations as to why the article doesn't meet Wikipedia standards, and see you around, Srikhardsson (talk) 18:46, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:The Deptford Society[edit]
