role of insulin[edit]

Actually insulin not only controls blood glucose levels but also fat&protein levels 1)it reduces blood fat levels and there by prevents it's accumulation in blood vessels which may lead to atherosclerosis 2)though it controls levels of all nutrients it is about glucose mostly discussed because in the absence of insulin it is the glucose levels that increase continuOusby In diabetic patients only glucose content in blood is the main problem
