Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Fibromyalgia, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. --Rrburke(talk) 02:23, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:11251.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:11251.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Hi,

Thanks for the recent edits to Fibromyalgia. I appreciate all your hard work. Most of the text looks interesting, but WP:V policies require citation for all statement of fact. I have removed your edits for the time being, but they can easily go back in if you can find citations for them. A good place to begin is WP:CITE. Please let me know if you have any questions.

License tagging for Image:Fibro.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Fibro.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Hi... Your edits haven't completely disappeared: they're retained in the edit history of the article. They can be restored once the proper citations have been provided. I'm sure you can appreciate that, as Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, additions to articles must be verifiable, which means readers should be able to check that they have previously been published in reliable sources, and they must not be original research, which means, among other things, they cannot be based on a Wikipedia user's personal experience.

As a fibromyalgia sufferer, you are probably more familiar than most with material that has been published on this topic. You are welcome to include such material, provided your additions are accompanied with the appropriate inline citations. If you need help with the citations, I would be happy to help you. Alternately, you could post a request for assistance on the following page: WP:HELPDESK and others can assist you. As well, you can place the tag {{helpme}} on your user talk page, and somebody will come along and ask how they can help.

If you'd like me to help you, feel free to post a message on my talk page. --Rrburke(talk) 14:57, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
