Manual of Style

[edit]

Hi, thanks for creating the draft Draft:Sathyanarayana Gujja. If you want this draft to be accepted and move into the article namespace, you must show that the subject of this draft meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines; otherwise this draft may be deleted (see Wikipedia:Drafts#Deletion of old drafts) after not being edited fox six months.

Apart from that, you should really read Wikipedia's Manual of Style (which is important for articles on WP to have consistent and precise language, layout and formatting) or at least the simplified version in my above welcome message.

For instance, see the edits I made to your draft just now in accordance to the MOS. I'll briefly explain below:

  • Changed (born on 21-11-1976) to (born 21 November 1976), per MOS:DOB
  • Removed unnecessary capitalisations, such as Indian Businessman, and Entrepreneur to Indian businessman and entrepreneur (as they are common nouns, not proper nouns; note I also removed the redundant comma), and SATHYAM TECHNO SCOOLS to Sathyam Techno Schools (note I corrected the spelling of 'Schools'). I also removed the capitalisation of common nouns in the section titles, such as Early Life and Graduation to Early life and graduation
  • Removed unnecessary spaces after opening square bracket '[' and before closing square bracket ']', such as Hyderabad to Hyderabad
  • Moved punctuation marks from after an inline citation to before it, such as , to
, per MOS:PUNCTREF. Also per MOS:PUNCTREF, there should be no spaces between a punctuation mark and inline citation, and also no spaces between different inline citations (not like this: Example sentence. , but like this: Example sentence.)
  • Changed in the infobox to Sathyanarayana gujja.jpg, and added |image_caption = Sathyanarayana Gujja just below, because per WP:INFOBOXIMAGE thumbnails should not be used in an infobox.
  • I noticed that you attempted to position 'Sathyam Techno Schools' just below 'Chairman and Managing Director, Comprint ;' for the Occupation section in the infobox by pressing [Enter] and using the spacebar to move 'Sathyam Techno Schools' just below 'Chairman and Managing Director, Comprint ;'. However, this does not work, and 'Sathyam Techno Schools' would still be shown just after 'Chairman and Managing Director, Comprint ;' on the same line in the infobox. To fix this, just add '<br>', like this:
Chairman and Managing Director, Comprint<br>Sathyam Techno Schools
  • Also remember to use proper spacing regarding punctuation marks. For instance, after a comma/full stop, there should be a space before the next word; and there should be no spaces between a punctuation mark and the word just before it. For instance, Example ,example should be changed to Example, example

Hope that helped, and happy editing on Wikipedia! JACKINTHEBOXTALK 13:42, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. If you have any more questions please leave me a message on my talk page. For other user talk pages that do not have a Please click here to add a new message link, just click Add topic at the top of your screen, and please remember to sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~) at the end. This automatically produces your username (and talk page), and a timestamp to show when you posted that message. Cheers!

P.P.S. When you reply to another message on a talk page, please add a colon (:) just before your message to indent it. Someone else who replies to your message will place two colons (::) before their message to indent it a bit more, etc. etc. So if you want to reply to a message that already has three colons before it, then you will have to place four colons before your message in response. If the indentation starts to get too deep (e.g. when the previous message has five colons before it), you can outdent your next reply by placing the template ::::: before it. (Note that there are five colons in that template, the same number of colons as the comment you are replying to. You could also just type '5' instead of the five colons.) For instance:

This is an example comment.

This is an example reply.
This is an example reply to the above.
Another example.
Another example.
Another example.

This is an outdented reply.

P.P.P.S. When replying to other users on a page other than their own talk page, you can use the Template:Reply to to notify them of your message. For example, to reply to me, use JackintheBox to produce @JackintheBox:. If replying to multiple users at the same time, you can use User1 to produce @User1, User2, and User3:. Please note that ping is just my preferred word to use; you can replace it with re, reply, replyto (reply to also works) or yo, and they would all work the same way. You can also use JackintheBox to produce JackintheBox, without the @ sign or colon (however, this only works for single users, not multiple). This is a lot to absorb, and I hope all this is not too confusing!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sathyam gujja requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion".
