Legal side

“Child prostitution is the use of a child in sexual activities for remuneration or any other form of consideration.”[1] Where a third party “the pimp” serves as an intermediary between the exploiter and the abuser and the victim[2]. In Ukraine, children are often the victims of forced labor and other kind of sexual exploitations[3]. The riskiest group of prostitution is the one belonging to poor families, homeless children and orphans; the exposure of living on the streets without protection makes them the most vulnerable[4].

Ukraine experiences between 7000 to 8000 cases of sexual children exploitation per year 4; According to the IOM data, 10% of 1355 Ukrainian victims of trafficking were adolescents[5]. Although child prostitution in Ukraine is illegal, a retrospective inquiry of adults shows a 20% in women and a 10% of men who have experienced a sexual abuse by the age of 18[6]. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sssptm (talkcontribs) 15:27, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
