Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Statethefacts86, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you've written about is BTS (band), and your user page description suggests you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way if you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms our use and policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Your speedy deletion request of your own user page

[edit]

I was surprised to see you requested speedy deletion of your user page. Why not simply just remove its content? You haven't revealed any personal data which needs to be redacted, so perhaps you feel your comment "I’m here for the sole purpose of making sure that the far right party and the political powers that be try not to destroy seven lives to fuel their own hate" might reveal too much of your editing interests or bias towards the seven members of BTS (band)? Bias should not be a part of Wikipedia editing - as I said on the BTS Talk Page, we should endeavour to fairly present content relevant to a topic. Nor do I agree, in general, with your subsequent statement that "People here are worse than the media and only portray one side without the rest of the facts". What we should do is to cite Reliable Sources, ensuring we tell both sides of any controversy relevant to a topic. Whether BTS have been unfairly sucked into a wider political argument, or justifiably brought condemnation upon themselves, or whether that condemnation was whipped up by false media reporting is, in essence, irrelevant, providing we only report what is reliable, noteworthy and only what established media sources are saying - or retracting. BTW: When you try to refute some statement by writing "FACT" in someone's talk page, like you did at that of Slakr, please WP:CITE your sources, or your arguments just ring hollow. Best wishes, Nick Moyes (talk) 10:03, 13 November 2018 (UTC)    [reply]
