Re: Crash[edit]

Sure, no problem. I added {{not orphan}} tags to both the images so the bot won't tag them for deletion. --Fritz S. (Talk) 09:08, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jimfbleak[edit]

I blocked the vandal, better to put a request on a talk page rather than create as an article though, Jimfbleak.talk.7:55, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

no problem, can't remember the procedure myself Jimfbleak.talk.08:41, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Chip 'N' Dale Rescue Rangers Vol. 1 DVD Box Set.JPG)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Chip 'N' Dale Rescue Rangers Vol. 1 DVD Box Set.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:51, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My reponse[edit]

I have told Betacommand to delete my He-Man image because I can't use it anymore, but I have told him also that Chip 'N' Dale Rescue Rangers Vol 1 & 2 was fair use images and that they were taken off and replaced because Toons4youtv wanted his images on there. It is not fair use and I told him do not do it again. If I would have found out about this a long time ago, I would have put back my images that I uploaded because he did it back on February 28, 2007.--Stco23 11:51, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Vol.2_Cover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Vol.2_Cover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigrTex 14:37, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Fair use rationale for Image:Vol.2_Cover.jpg[edit]

I put fair use thing on my photo so that I don't see another complant by someone who says this is not fair use. I will check to see if there are more fair use things that I have to put down. Thank You.--Stco23 07:19, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry that I wasn't around to get back to you sooner, thanks for addressing the rationale issue.
There was never a question that the image is fair use, but part of fair use is the rationale. I always use {{Non-free media rationale}} on fair use images that I upload so that anyone looking at the rationales sees the information laid out in a way that they would expect. Please feel free to read Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline for more information on rationales. Technically, only images uploaded after May 4, 2006 can be tagged for not having a rationale, but all fair use images (including Image:Chip 'N' Dale Rescue Rangers Vol. 1 DVD Box Set.JPG) are required to have one. ~ BigrTex 20:17, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
