Archive for Talk:iTunes

Hi, I saw that you did a massive archive of for Talk:iTunes. However, that page was being taking care of by a automatic archive bot User:Miszabot. I reverted the change and since the page was getting too large, tweaked the parameters to do it more often. -- KelleyCook (talk) 15:33, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi Stealth500, you created this page about 30 minutes ago but it remains empty. Was it a mistake? I tagged it for speedy deletion but you can always recreate it when you are ready to add content. Regards, Accurizer (talk) 11:26, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi again, thanks for your question on my talk page. The best place for you to start would be Wikipedia:Your first article, it contains a lot of information on how to get started on a new article. For your information, there is a Wikipedia:Articles for creation process, but this is for unregistered users who are technically unable to create articles on their own. Speedy deletion of Talk:Star Wars/FA

I have tagged the page Talk:Star Wars/FA for speedy deletion under CSD G8 namely that it is a talk page for which there is no corresponding article. If you would like to contest this speedy deletion please add the {{hangon}} tag to the page in question but do not remove the tag. Thanks BigHairRef | Talk 17:53, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Rally Point (Travian)

A tag has been placed on Rally Point (Travian) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. --TheSeer (TalkˑContribs) 10:23, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Cayuga nation article

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Cayuga nation, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.Deconstructhis (talk) 15:19, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

re: Cayuga nation article material

Hey.... so a few things wrong about your thing on my page.....

1st: How do you wish me to cite a source that was an interview that I was at. 2nd: I am not a new member....

Stealth (talk)

Hello Stealth, if you haven't already taken the opportunity to sit down and read WP:VERIFY you should do so, I think you'll find some tips there that will make editing and adding to the encyclopedia a little easier. As I'm sure you understand, without the potential ability to verify the information that an individual editor adds to an article, Wikipedia becomes a much less useful tool for a reader who must have some way of knowing that the information that they're reading just simply isn't invented by an editor on the spot and has no basis in fact at all. In Wikipedia, that basis is established by an editor adding a reliable source to the material when they post it to an article. In your case, if you're citing an "interview" that was made available through a media outlet, it's definitely possible to simply include information in your citation regarding the details of when and where the material was made publicly available, you might want to use a template to help give you an idea of the sorts of details that are usually included in this type of citation, they can be found here WP:CITET. If the interview you're referring to took place in the context of a private conversation or a public event that can not be verified by a reliable third party source, I'm afraid it becomes very difficult to use material from it as a reference in Wikipedia. Even if you were there personally and heard the material spoken that you're referring to, without the ability to reference an independent source for that material, what you're doing by quoting it is called "original research" WP:OR and is not permitted in the encyclopedia. Please get back to me if you want to discuss this further, have fun editing. cheers Deconstructhis (talk) 17:49, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Fair use image question

Hi Stealth. Here is my cross-post from User talk:AGK as requested.

You wrote,

Hello AGK,

I am a player of Travian and I have an image that would be the closest to the browser games icon/image. But I wanted to know how to upload it legally.... Can you tell me how? (Please respond on my user page)

Thanks!

--Stealth (talk) 02:40, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

(Diff: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/?diff=prev&oldid=253716893.)

Response.

Wikipedia:Non-free content#Images details the conditions under which non-free images may be used on Wikipedia. (For the record, I would say that the image you intend to upload would be non-free.) So long as the image satisfies those criteria and the criteria detailed at Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria, you should be okay to upload it via Wikipedia:Upload.

I shall cross-post this message to your user_talk page, as requested.

Hope this helps, AGK 17:20, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Improvements on Travian

I can go through the article and see what needs to be improved. However, I am busy with real-life stuff (like work), so I might not get to it right away. I'll make an assessment when I can on the article's talk page: Talk:Travian. Cheers, MuZemike (talk) 04:04, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

No problem. I have added the fair-use rationale to the image. Thank you for your valued contributions to Travian. --Joshua Issac (talk) 19:00, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Flip Video merge proposal/revert

I'd like to encourage you to state your reasons in this discussion. Also, if you have a business relationship with Pure Digital, please state so. tedder (talk) 12:51, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey stealth

That was not spam. Did you see the superbowl? there was holding by pittsburgh the entire time, and clearly he grabbed his arm at the end of the game. Don't revert my opinions. Its not fair just disregard controversy and say its spam just because you like pittsburg stealth. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.2.153.90 (talk) 03:23, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
