My Link
Please prove how my link is not relevant to the sporting clays page. I am aware of noindex and it is not an attempt at advertising or spam. Understand that my site has the goal to spread knowledge, understanding, and promote the sport of sporting clays. The site is THE ONLY current resource of its kind on the web that works directly with current and past high profile persons involved in the sport including the current WORLD CHAMPION, high ranking competitors and instructors and the national and international associations themselves. It includes 100% original content directly related to the subject at hand found nowhere else. I believe the external links are intended to direct readers to further resources to improve their understanding of the subject. This is exactly what my site provides. To this end I have restored the link. If you still think it inappropriate I suggest you remove all the other links except those of the organizing bodies themselves. My site contains more relative, factual and ACCURATE content than those currently listed. Internationalsc (talk) 14:38, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- Hi there. Your link was removed back in January as per the very clear guidelines set out in WP:EL, which you should read. However, I cannot find in your edit history where you have restored the link. I see that your account has been blocked. You should take this time to review relevant policies, particularly the one I linked above, as well as the conflict of interest guidelines. Steamroller Assault (talk) 23:57, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Hi Steamroller, thanks for making a start on this article - you stole if from my to do list! I've expanded it a little further and have nominated if for the did you know? section of the main page. You can see the nomination at T:TDYK#Darwin's bark spider and suggest a different hook if you like. One little thing, if you make an article about a species and name the page by the common name, can you make sure that you create a redirect from the scientific name? I almost started writing the article again because the scientific name was a red link. Cheers Smartse (talk) 15:57, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
- No worries. I should have created that redirect...it was on my mind when I started the article, but I think I got sidetracked after seeing that the entire genus was redlinked. Glad you caught it before doing too much redundant work. I was also planning on expanding to at least 1500 characters and then nominating for the DYK, so I think we're working for each other quite well here. Cheers, Steamroller Assault (talk) 17:15, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
- Cool, no problem about forgetting about the redirect, I know it's all too easy to get sidetracked. As I said on the nomination page, we can use the images in the PLoS paper as it's licenced under creative commons licences. I would upload them myself but I don't have software to crop the double photo into seperate ones at the moment, I'll do it in a couple of days when I have a better computer, but feel free to DIY. DYK for Darwin's bark spider
On 27 September 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Darwin's bark spider, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check ) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Bands Against Bush nominated for deletion again
As you commented in the earlier discussion, I wanted to make you aware of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bands Against Bush (2nd nomination), which I have just started. Please feel free to comment there if you wish. — Gavia immer (talk) 21:49, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
RugMark article clean-up
Hi there, thanks for flagging the issue on this article about appearance of copyright infringement. I posted a comment on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Maldt about this. I've suggested that someone take a stab at rewriting the article so that it doesn't appear to take copyrighted material inappropriately, but rather to use the websites as a source for describing the program. On a separate note I'm going to do a bit more investigation as there appears to be some confusion about whether the article refers to the India organization or the international organization, which have now split. I'll post a note about that separately. Gw-intl (talk) 11:40, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
Album Listing
I suggest you do a little research into the world of Americana music and songwriting. You will find that the album I created a listing for, is gaining an international following and has been praised by the editors at Rolling Stone magazine.
But perhaps you are indeed "World Tastemaker," sir.
MrsCoil (talk) 15:25, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hi there. Your article was deleted because it was an album listing for which no article of the band exists. This means that independent readers have no way of knowing if the album or artist is notable. Feel free to write an article on the band, being sure to establish why they are notable, remembering to establish verifiability by citing reliable sources. Also remember to avoid writing about the band if you have a conflict of interest. Cheers, Steamroller Assault (talk) 17:31, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

Proposing article for deletion of page Francesco Vitali
Hello
Hello, It has just come to our attention that you Proposed article for deletion of page Francesco Vitali and cited as 'Proposing article for deletion per WP:PROD. (TW)'. if possible can you explain me what actually problem is? Thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Apaleja (talk • contribs) 08:32, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
- Sure. The piece in question is entirely promotional, filled with all sorts of unreferenced statements that are more than likely exaggerations to make the subject seem more notable than he actually is. Take a look at that link and this one too to see what standards of notability need to be met for a Wikipedia article. As you have contested the proposed deletion, I am taking it to WP:AFD, where you are welcome to join in the discussion. Cheers, Steamroller Assault (talk) 12:51, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Anti-Candida Diet article deletion
I am the author of the article and the website in question. Could you help me out with further steps to donate that article to wikipedia, or to undo the deletion. I understand that I must place a copyleft notice in my website. Something like the following?
The Anti-Candida Diet section's text of this page is available for modification and reuse under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License and the GNU Free Documentation License (unversioned, with no invariant sections, front-cover texts, or back-cover texts).
Then I would have a copyright notice and a copyleft notice? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drodrigues11 (talk • contribs) 20:19, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
- Hi. Although it is possible to license your work under Creative Commons, thus allowing its inclusion on Wikipedia, there are many other reasons why it is not suitable for an encyclopedia. Firstly, go here to see what the Wikipedia project is about. A few things that disqualify your article for inclusion here is that Wikipedia is not a how-to guide, Wikipedia articles must not contain original research, and that Wikipedia is not a place for you to promote your website. I'm sure there are other blogs and discussion forums on the internet where you can publish your views, but an neutrally-written, fully-referenced Encyclopedia is no place for them. Diet plays a major role
A reference for this is required. As far as I am aware diet does NOT play a major role. Will see what I can find. Found a ref that supports a bit. Will add. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 18:22, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
- I think you're a little confused. I removed the statement. Steamroller Assault (talk) 18:24, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yes correct I was confused. Thanks. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 18:29, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
Neeraj Grover Murder Case
Thanks for cleaning up this page. I wrote this page but later notice that it still needed some more work to come up to standards. Thanks for the immediate help. Cheers AKS 03:55, 19 July 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arunsingh16 (talk • contribs)
Herbert D. Smith
Thank you for explaining why you decided to crop 95% of the page I was working on. I understand the rules of Wikipedia, and I will continue to write on here about him. He was important, although Wikipedia makes it very hard when judging who and what is important. I'll just have to attach more links because this won't happen again. I don't say any of this out of disrespect. I do thank you for trying to help. However, this wasn't part of the grieving process. Thank you for your respect.Asiaperkins (talk) 15:42, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- I know, Wikipedia rules can seem draconian to many, but they've proven to be very effective in building a neutrally-written, verifiable encyclopedia. In fact, had Smith not served in the Oklahoma house, he would not appear to have any claim to notability for the purposes of this project. He still may not be notable if more reliable sources about him are not found. Wikipedia serves as a compendium of previously-published information. We can't be the first people to have written about something--someone else needs to have done it first. As you've stated you intend to continue writing about Smith here, I must tell you to exercise great caution in doing so. Writing from a neutral point of view is very important, and quite a bit of what you wrote was heavily laden with praise. I've returned some of the text and tagged it where appropriate. T. Rafael Cimino Bio Page set for deletion
Could you please tell me why you are considering this article for deletion?
~~Andi Cary~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by AndiCary (talk • contribs) 21:34, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- Sure. The reasons are very clearly stated at the deletion discussion. If you can find any reliable sources (i.e. newspaper or magazine articles from well-established publications) that can prove any of the claims made in the article, the Wikipedia community would be grateful for you to cite them in the discussion. As it stands, I've taken a look at not just IMDB, but also the official websites for some of these films, and it appears that this article is an elaborate hoax meant to promote this individual. Also, remember to sign your correspondence using four tildes (~~~~). In addition, it appears that you are editing under at least two accounts: User:AndiCary and User:69.132.171.231. On wikipedia, this is known as sockpuppetry, and is pretty much forbidden. Just choose one account and only edit from that one. Cheers, Steamroller Assault (talk) 21:45, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
Mr. Steamroller Assault
A subpoena has been issued to Wikipedia for your true identity and location so that a Federal subpoena can be addressed to your person for the purpose of attaining a legal attachment for the tortuous cause of liable. You really should get a life.
AndiCary (talk) 12:28, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- Rather than issuing legal threats, it would be much easier to find some reliable sources to prove the notability of this individual, thus preventing the article from deletion. Thanks. Steamroller Assault (talk) 16:05, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Year of the Quiet Sun
Thanks for the guidance on the right way to deal with these pages. Just curious: How in the world did you happen to notice what I was doing while I was doing it?24.91.203.134 (talk) 19:53, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- No problem. I often check out the list of new Wikipedia pages, which is where I found the activity by User:Moisture (who I have to guess is you when you're logged in). I see the issue has yet to be fixed though. Steamroller Assault (talk) 14:44, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
