November 2012[edit]

Your addition to Test-driven development has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. The material you added to the article was taken from several sources with only minor edits. The reference did also not meet Wikipedia's WP:V policy as one is required to create an account to access the whitepaper. I'm sorry, but I had to remove it all despite how promising it appeared to be. Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:20, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I also posted my reply on the Test-Driven Development talk page but was not sure where the appropriate place for a reply was.
I represent the copyright holder and have submitted a declaration of consent to donate the copyrighted material. Also, you are not required to create an account to access the whitepaper. The access page is merely an optional request for information. Clicking send will take you directly to the whitepaper PDF. I found the WP:V guidelines unclear based on your comment. Although this is not the case, I thought sources that require purchase or membership were acceptable: "Other people should in principle be able to check that material in a Wikipedia article has been published by a reliable source. This implies nothing about ease of access to sources: some online sources may require payment, while some print sources may only be available in university libraries."
