August 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm 331dot. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Hercules Mulligan, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 11:26, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Sir/Madam
This was my first edit and was unsure if i did it correct. The souse is linked to the original documents from the time in the form of Census record and Manumission records. If you google my name Stephen McCracken and Hercules Mulligan a few news articles should appear.
Ill have a read at the referencing from beginners now.
All the best Stephen Stephenmccracken40 (talk) 11:29, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The other thing I did not mention was that you placed some of your edits in section headers; you can avoid this by clicking "edit" and not "new section" at the top of the page(assuming you are in full desktop mode) 331dot (talk) 11:31, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
cheers for all the help its much appreciated Stephenmccracken40 (talk) 11:34, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks Stephen Stephenmccracken40 (talk) 12:12, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that posting your own research is a severe conflict of interest and should not be done directly; please make a formal edit request(click for instructions) on the article talk page(Talk:Hercules Mulligan). Please also note that Wikipedia does not host original research, but summarizes independent reliable sources. Instead of citing your own work, you should cite the sources of your information directly. Please also see WP:EXPERT. 331dot (talk) 12:32, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

CS1 error on Watty Graham[edit]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Watty Graham, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 11:17, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! I fixed the "bare URL and missing title error". Could you please fix the "year/date mismatch" in reference #3? Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 15:43, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
