Welcome and TPad

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Wikipedia is no place for advertising products and services. If Tpad is notable, consider writing an article about it. Please study Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies), Wikipedia:Notability (web), Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and WP:WTAF before contributing again.Thank you. --Kgfleischmann (talk) 09:07, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

simply search in google for keyword "softphone" and we on on the 1st page just below Wiki page, how is that not valid?

Once again, entries in Comparison of VoIP software without article are not wanted, interpreted as spam and deleted. Reinserting could be seen as vandalism ! Greetings --Kgfleischmann (talk) 12:38, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The problem with your entry is called notability, that is something like the "admission control" for the Wikipedia. The policy on Comparison of VoIP software is not to accept entries in this list without an notable article. If you plan to write an article consider reading
Feel free to write the article in the user space first and ask the folks on Wikipedia:WikiProject Telecommunications (among them me) at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Telecommunications for a review.
How to write an article in the user space:
Click this link: User:StevenJohns/TPad and fill the "Editing User:StevenJohns/TPad" page.
Much fun --Kgfleischmann (talk) 13:45, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Steven, I had a first look on your text. It does'n look bad, but better ask for a review by adding a respective paragraph with your request at the end of Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Telecommunications --Kgfleischmann (talk) 15:55, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

About your recent questions:

1. Can I change the name of my Tpad page from TPad to Tpad (capital T and not TP) User:StevenJohns/TPad change to User:StevenJohns/Tpad

You still have to move your article from the "user space" to the "article space" that is from en.w.../User:StevenJohns/TPad to en.w.../Tpad. You do this with help of the move tab on top of WP main window. You can change the name, when doing it.

2. Is there any timescale to get an page approved.

There is NO timescale. If nobody is interesting in supporting by a review, just do the move.

A tag has been placed on Tpad, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Tpad and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Calltech (talk) 14:36, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
