Welcome to Wikipedia

[edit]

I'm honoured to be the first to write on your talk page, Dr. Hayes! (If you indeed are him.) I'm a Swedish psychology student and very interested in your work. ACT is quite popular here in Uppsala. Hope you'll like it here at Wikipedia. Here's the templated welcoming message that new users often get:

Welcome to Wikipedia

Hello, Steven C. Hayes, and welcome to Wikipedia! Wikipedia is one of the world's fastest growing internet sites. We aim to build the biggest and most comprehensive encyclopaedia in the world. To date we have over four million articles in a host of languages. The English language Wikipedia alone has over one million articles! But we still need more! Please feel free to contribute your knowledge and expertise to our site.

If you need help see:

Here are a few more good links for newcomers:

We hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Hi! I don't know if you intentionally blanked the page Talk:Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Anyway, that is not considered good style, so I reverted it. Greetings, skagedal... 23:17, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Association for Contextual Behavioral Science has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not provide enough sources to justify WP:N

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Re

[edit]

The proposed deletion will last for 7 days, during which you can add sources for us to verify its notability. However, primary source alone is not enough to justify notability.

Also, if you remove the PROD, it will be treated as a disputed deletion and moved to deletion debate. Zzarch (talk) 23:45, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Association for Contextual Behavioral Science is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Association for Contextual Behavioral Science until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Zzarch (talk) 01:01, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Association for Contextual Behavioral Science. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you.
