Thanks for the happy birthday message. I'm not very active of late, but I did drop in today. Catbar (Brian Rock) 23:28, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging Image:Ronald!.jpg[edit]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Ronald!.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Drake and Josh[edit]

Hey, I've noticed that you've created a lot of the Drake and Josh episode articles, and I just wanted to let you know one small detail. The Nickelodeon article is a disambiguation page, when you link to it from within those articles, please put [[Nickelodeon (TV channel)|Nickelodeon]] instead. That way, the user doesn't have to choose from the list of disambiguation links. I've corrected all the articles you've already done, so there's no need to go back and fix them :-) Cheers! --lightdarkness (talk) 20:20, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cats[edit]

Hi. In the course of starting an article on Strays of York, I thought it would be best to change your redirect from Stray to Stray (Book) into a disambiguation. You might want to change the link on your User Page to point direct to the book. And then again, you might not think it worth the bother.

You might also be interested in Cats in York. Many of these are within ten minutes walk of where I live. --GuillaumeTell 16:48, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request for edit summary[edit]

Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 9% for major edits and 27% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 124 minor edits in the article namespace.)

This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 12:00, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

I appreciate your reluctance and respect it. I don't personally think 7 months is a short time and many are promoted with less time, but please let me know if there is anyhting I can do or any questions I can answer that will help you cast a firm vote. Thanks!Gator (talk) 20:20, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm honored, thank you. Let me know if you need anything.Gator (talk) 21:03, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RFA[edit]

Hi! Your RFA had more oppose votes than support so I had to fail it. You may of course try again later. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 04:41, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Keep up the good work Jared, in time, if you are active you can try again. By the way, you can request a name change if that is what you desire. At Wikipedia:Changing username it says that there are no guidelines for usurping an account with no edits, but over the recent months many such name changes have been done, so you just need to explain your situation. If you created the JaredW account yourself (as I suspect you did), it should be even easier. Cheers, NoSeptember talk 17:46, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I saw your name change request. You won't lose your edit history, that is the whole point of name changing (otherwise you'd just create a new account). You may want to mention that you created the JaredW account in your request, the reason they avoid usurption is out of respect for the other user. Cheers, NoSeptember talk 13:12, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Birthday committee[edit]

Better centers (Bacon number)[edit]

Hi. You added info about better centers to Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon; later someone repeated this info at Bacon number. However, this appears to contradict the known info (from Oracle of Bacon site which uses the IMDb) that Rod Steiger is the best center. Reeve does not appear on the list of 1000 best centers at the Oracle site either. This info is from 2004, so there's a possibility that something has changed, I suppose. Do you have a source for your edit? There is already an ongoing discussion at Talk: Bacon number; I encourage you to respond there. --C S (Talk) 01:33, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
