Feedback on Preliminary Bibliography[edit]

Hi, Stories Alive! Thanks for posting this. To be honest, it's hard to tell if you have a grasp of MLA style, because some of the citations in your list are confusing (probably because they lack necessary information). For example, these entries are confusing to me because I can't tell from your citation what they are, who wrote them, how and where you found them, how and where *I* might find them, etc.: "'Skene.' 2017." and "'Dionysus, Theatre Of.' 2017." and "'Skene.' Oxford University Press, 2010." So, if you want, please schedule a time to meet with me and share any questions you have about how to format a Works Cited list. I can offer a few tips. Remember that "university" and "press" are abbreviated; e.g. Harvard UP, U of Michigan P, Cambridge UP. When you write the page range for an article, do this: 134-39, not this: 134-139. Finally, if you found any of these sources through an online database, you need to include the name of the database (in italics) in the citation, even when you also include the DOI in the citation. Please review these rules at the OWL at Purdue's web site: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/08/ If you have any further questions, please let me know. Thanks! Feedback on Preliminary Bibliography (Spr 2018)[edit]

Hi, Stories Alive -- overall, this looks good. Don't forget to abbreviate "university" and "press" (see my comment above from last semester). I appreciate that you took care to list DOIs and access dates; very good! Take care to delete any extraneous spaces before/after colons (in titles) and capitalize the first word in a subtitle, even if it is "A" or preposition or another type of word that would be lower-case unless it is at the beginning of a title or sentence. Looking forward to how your project unfolds this semester! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amyehughes (talkcontribs) 22:53, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
