Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Oliver Locker-Lampson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Harold Roberts. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi, you have reverted my removal of Joseph Whitaker (publisher) from the list of alumni of this school, and cited the DNB. Could you have another look? I have looked at the ODNB and I think it was his son who attended Bloxham School. The article says "Whitaker had a family of fifteen children, of whom the eldest was Joseph Vernon Whitaker (1845–1895). He was born in London on 3 February 1845, and was educated at Bloxham School". Joseph Whitaker the elder was apprenticed at 14 so it seems unlikely he attended Bloxham, and the ODNB doesn't sugggest he did. Thanks, Tacyarg (talk) 17:28, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You're quite right. I've undone the edit. Thank for checking up on that. Stuart Newmanite (talk) 23:27, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Durham University Conservative and Unionist Association

[edit]

Hello, Stuart Newmanite,

Thank you for creating Durham University Conservative and Unionist Association.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

The article may benefit from inclusion of additional viewpoints. The sentence about the 'Newcastle Section' seems to be a fragment only, and doesn't make sense as currently written.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Bastun}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Hello Bastun,
I have added some more viewpoints which I feel has balanced out the page a bit, although I feel my wording is a bit messy. If you don't feel that the issues have been addressed, I'm happy to tinker away a bit more.
I have also resolved the Newcastle section. I'm not quite sure why I stopped the sentence mid-way, but at least that's in order now.

Notice

The article University of York Swift Society has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:NOTNEWS. A student society being sent a gift by a pop star is not reason for their inclusion in WP.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
