Leo Messi Edit[edit]

Hi, thanks for drawing my attention to this. I agree that in retrospect this edit was perhaps overly sweeping; in my defense I quote WP:V which states that "The burden of evidence lies with the editors who have made an edit or wish an edit to remain." There was a lot of potentially valuable content in the removed paragraph, but no sources were provided for the opinions, and the language was laudatory and idiomatic rather than encyclopedic and neutral: "overshadowed the array of established stars", "merely to disorient the drawing boards of big name european opponents", etc. Regarding the continuity issue, I certainly should have retained a mention of his injury in the paragraph, and I've fixed that oversight now. I will bear your comments in mind in future. Thanks and regards. --Muchness 15:37, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Why heed to continuous reverts?[edit]

True, my edist to Michael Schumacher were inspired in the latest argument with a stubborn user, but it is also true that a lot of people consider Schumacher as the al time greatest, specially thouse not deeply into car-racing. It is also true that the quality of the articles cited on greeatestness is problematic, but there's always an authorative source (in this case the F1's official site). On the subject of weather it is wise to keep considered by many to be... phrases in the Wikipedia's article in general; what can I say, it should be globally defined. Lionel Messi[edit]

Hi Su30,

Way back in June you edited the article about Lionel Messi adding the following sentence: "Messi famously acknowledged his shortened initiation in international football before Argentina's next match against Paraguay saying "This is a re-debut, The first one was a bit short.""([1]) You did not, however, a source that statement. Could you please do so? Google only finds Wikipedia and en.thinkexist.com when searching for that quote and aparently anyone can add quotes to the latter website so it's not really a reliable source. If no source is found the assertion will have to be removed.--Carabinieri 21:29, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help. I guess somehow I didn't see that source, when I first looked for it.--Carabinieri 16:24, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

3. Malaga - Oct 26 (subbed on)
4. @Getafe - Nov 6
5. @Real Madrid - Nov 19
6. Racing - Nov 27 (goal 1)
