About the images you uploaded[edit]

The flickr page shows that they are not GFDL, but CC-BY-NC-ND, a license that is unsuitable for Wikipedia. If the images can't be used under some fair use claim, they will have to be deleted. Kusma (討論) 19:47, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Let me clarify what he said. If the images are licensed under the GFDL, they will not need to be deleted, since dual-licensed images are OK as long as one of the licenses is acceptable. However, you must prove that the images are in fact GFDL. Andrew Levine 20:31, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I spoke with "Neurotic" Jose Ongpin about it, and he released them under the GFDL. Would the emails I sent back and forth be sufficient proof? Or should he change the pages to state that they're GFDL? Suigi 19:16, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm sorry I go through so many pages and images each day that I can't remember what you are talking about. Could you provide me with the links to where they were if you can? To get them back up could you get the creator to confirm that he understands the GFDL terms for images, and then foward his email (or get the creator to email) the email address listed here: Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission#When permission is confirmed.--Konst.ableTalk 20:33, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Certainly. The pages were Finch (TTC), North York Centre (TTC), Sheppard-Yonge (TTC), and York Mills (TTC). The images themselves can be accessed at here, here, here, and here. I'll let Jose know about the problem, forward the emails I've sent, and if necessary get him to send one. Worst comes to worst, I simply release my own photos of the stations and use those.
Hi, I have restored all the images and re-inserted them back into the articles. I'm not exactly sure what the procedure is, but I think the people who handle the copyrights should give you some link as proof that you have emailed them the author's permission, and you should put that on the image description pages. But they'll probably tell you.--Konst.ableTalk 03:49, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No response yet from Jose or Wikimedia, but thanks for the restoration, Konstable. If the GFDL thing doesn't work out, we'll try it under CC 2.5. Suigi 06:34, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Still no response from Wikimedia, but I'm going ahead and uploading the remaining images under GFDL as per the email I sent them. Thanks! Suigi 00:06, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I heard somewhere that there is a huge backlog there and might take a couple of months for them to respond. Should be fine if you go ahead.--Konst.ableTalk 00:27, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Finally got word back from Wikimedia. They OK'd it, and have given permission for me to continue! Suigi 21:42, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

TTC Digital Rendering - All Done![edit]

Finally. Thanks for letting me finish, guys. Suigi 03:53, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone ahead and added in the OTRS comment for each of the TTC digital renderings, except of course those that were speedily deleted due to a misunderstanding. What people will see is the following: {{PermissionOTRS}}
OK, sorry about that. You should add the OTRS link to all of the images to prevent further confusion. -- Selmo (talk) 05:44, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No hard feelings. Doing so right now, as a matter of fact. And if all goes well, I'll be able to re-upload the lost images later tonight. Suigi 06:02, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and could you please remove the speedy deletion tag from the image of Lawrence East station? Suigi 06:05, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: TTC Digital Rendering Image Removal[edit]

You are certianly welcome to do that once all the images are properly tagged. Thank you for asking me. —Pilotguy (ptt) 19:06, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Will do. Thanks! Suigi 23:56, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Renderings[edit]

Just so you know, you put the wrong renderings of Osgoode and St. Andrew stations. Geo android 18:02, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Those are the designs on the outer walls of the stations. There's different tilings on the inner walls of the station (basically, the stairways). I'd rather stick those up, actually, so I'll pull the swap right now. Suigi 21:22, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well then, maybe both designs could be put up. How's that? Geo android 17:34, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm...I don't think that'd work, because people might think that there's more than one platform (as I've done two platform images for Spadina and Kennedy). To be honest, I like the inner walls more anyway. Suigi 20:47, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I guess so. Alright then. Geo android 22:58, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![edit]

Non-free use disputed for Image:Intel Pentium 4 HT.png[edit]

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Intel Pentium 4 HT.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:02, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BassxForte's RFC[edit]

No, I kinda just ditched it. It's two months old, and it was removed from the list about three weeks ago due to lack of activity. After seeing his response I lost hope in his ability to become a better editor, but he went on a wikibreak shortly after so I decided to assume good faith again. Which ended up being a mistake.. Anyhow, he isn't leaving anytime soon and I've been patient enough, so it's better to just get a community ban right now. - Zero1328 Talk? 07:58, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Princess Daisy's Article[edit]

What wiki's was Princess Daisy the main article now? 68.162.116.46 19:42, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am upset that this article is merged now and someone will merged it back into the main article of Princess Daisy. And you are upseting this in the Wikipedia and all of the information was deleted by TTN. And also the main article was deleted now. 68.162.116.46 19:42, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If it's working again, Super Mario Wiki at www.mariowiki.com is the best resource I can offer for in-universe information. I'm sorry if you think that Wikipedia is being ruined by TTN's actions, but I have to admit, you're not alone in that. If you have any issues, take it up with him, or begin following the steps in dispute resolution. Suigi 23:46, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Intel Pentium Dual-Core.PNG)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Intel Pentium Dual-Core.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:40, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Files listed for deletion[edit]

Some of your images or media files have been listed for deletion. Please see Wikipedia:Files for deletion/2009 January 27 if you are interested in preserving them. Thank you. -- Sameboat - 同舟 (talk) 11:54, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dang, I wish I was here when this discussion was going on - I'd say to delete them. They look incredibly tacky compared to real photos as seen on other pages' infoboxes. Suigi (talk) 23:40, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
