A tag has been placed on 21 gun salute rally, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Help request[edit]

Can you please let me know why the page was deleted & how I am not following the rules. Here are my take: 1. I am not the owner of this rally. 2. I am not marketing this rally. 3. This rally is for public & their benefit. I have visited & benefited last time & I spoke to many car enthusiasts & they feel the same. So, if its on wikipedia people will come to know more. 4. There are people who are realted to this rally & their profiles are already existing on wikipedia & I had linked to them. 5. Its for a good cause - to know your heritage as well as help specially abled children. 6. What I can do is find out 2-3 such people who have benefited from this rally & ask them to confirm the same. 7. Please note that it is not about a person or a company. Its a public event for a good cause.

Please help me.

I have moved this down, because new contributions should go at the bottom of talk pages, to keep the conversation in order.
Read WP:Your first article for advice. Wikipedia is quite choosy about subjects for articles. The test for inclusion is called Wikipedia:Notability, and is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people not connected with the subject thought it significant enough to write substantial comment about?
The notability requirement applies to good causes as well as to commercial companies - see Wikipedia is not here to tell the world about your noble cause
Also, articles should have a WP:Neutral point of view and should not read as though they are trying to "sell" their subject. Phrases like "Great food, amazing music and of course lots and lots of vintage cars makes this event difficult to forget" read like an advertisement, and anything like that gets deleted.
Unless you can find substantial independent coverage, e.g. press articles that are not based on press releases, I am afraid you will have to give up the idea of a Wikipedia article about the rally. If you can, contact Randykitty, the administrator who deleted the article, show the references, and ask whether s/he will "userfy" the article - move it into a sub-page where you can work on it.
