Welcome[edit]

Hi. Thanks for uploading Image:Billsinkiewicz.jpg - it's a great addition to the Bill Sienkiewicz article (I've tweaked the formatting on that article, so it looks the same size as the artwork shot). But I note you've not put authorship details (i.e. say who took the picture, and confirm that they've given permission for the image to be licenced to Wikipedia and its many mirrors and reusers and soforth) on the image page for the image, or the very necessary licence tag. Without these the image is very likely to be quickly deleted by our hyper-efficient image-compliance people. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 20:09, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You, I made the photo, and I have added my permission in the photo. It is the first time that I put a image in wiki, if I put bad the image permission, please tell me. User:Supercool Manchu | Talk 23:14, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I see you've already added the authorship info. It also needs the licence tag, which specifies the terms you're willing to allow others to reuse the image under. Most user-created images on Wikipedia are licenced under the GFDL - you'd just add {{GFDL}} to the image page and that's that. Other than that, you can place it into the public domain (with {{PD-user|Supercool Manchu}}}) but I wouldn't recommend that. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 22:29, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Done, I have added {{GFDL}}, Thank You for Everything. -- User:Supercool Manchu | Talk 0:49, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I want to decline my permission to use this pic, What can I do? Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.125.58.79 (talk) 14:45, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When you added the GFDL tag, you did not give permission to use the pic, but instead gave up some of your rights to the picture. This license cannot be revoked. 14:50, 2 December 2007 (UTC) Phil Sandifer 15:11, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Corbijn photo[edit]

Hello. I noticed you nominated my image of Anton Corbijn for deletion because of CV. I changed the license to fair-use art. Do you think it's ok now? Husky (talk page) 12:47, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Corbijn u2 book.jpg)[edit]

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Corbijn u2 book.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Kevin 12:54, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
